  1. Probably. Jose Cruz Jr was a stud too from what I remember
  2. This isn’t the try league it’s the get it done league
  3. There’s a pretty sizeable difference between asking for him and saying a deal doesn’t get done without him
  4. No I wouldn’t They have no leverage. They’re on the outside looking in of the playoff hunt, aren’t going to re sign him and are looking like a bottom 5 team for the next 5 years if they don’t trade him Like if the only prospect worthy of Ohtani is Holliday then he won’t be moved. I guess we’ll see
  5. There’s no way in hell the O’s are offering Holliday that’s crazy talk
  6. Love seeing big JJ coming in and slamming the door for two innings. That was a great signing
  7. That’s Daulton Varsho you’re thinking of
  8. 3 WAR through 70 games* He’s on pace for the second best season of his career
  9. Will any of the Bellinger haters admit that a 3 WAR outfielder with a 140 wRC+ would have been an asset to the Jays?
  10. Is that the guy with a 60 wRC+ since June?
  11. Bellinger is closing in on the $/WAR category as well that Terminator was referencing once Bellinger passed KK Have any of the Bellinger haters looked at KK’s numbers since June? Big yikes
  12. Can’t do that all you can do is hope he goes home in the offseason and isn’t pounding bud heavies and chimichangas
  13. Do you think teams only advise Tommy John rehab or do you think they have the a team of dedicated professionals overseeing the process? I haven’t once said the team has authority to do anything. Those are your words not mine. But if your first round pick comes to camp fat do you allocate 100% of the blame on the 18 year old high schooler or does some of the blame fall on the major league team with nutritionists, physios, s&c coaches, biomechanic nerds, etc?
  14. This is the jist of it yes. Very basic and elementary and simple for the team to monitor.
  15. You didn’t have to trade him Hitters > pitchers
  16. A) I wouldn’t recommend athletes living on salad the professional baseball organization should be sophisticated enough to send him home with step by step instructions for the offseason and check in bi weekly to ensure adherence. It’s really not that difficult
  17. So the Jays are unhappy with Barriera’s weight, but aren’t they giving him exactly what they want him to do in the offseason? If so it’s their responsibility to keep tabs on him during the offseason. If not it’s their fault he’s fat. I mean he’s their first round pick ffs he’s not an 18th rounder that showed up fat
  18. Jeeeez that’s not smart
  19. I’ll give them this offseason to make the change. The three fatties all had varying degrees of success up until this point. Then they all bottomed out. Let’s see if they can find the common denominator
  20. I’m sure the “factory” has all the hardware necessary but I do question the people in charge of the R&D side of it. No idea who that is or what their label is, but we should be closer to the top in terms of developing players with the investments made and the focus put on it.
