  1. I wanted to say the same thing as metafour but he beat me to it. Looking in the past right now has no upside. You take each game from now on one at a time and do your best to win each one. You also need to account for the games you get outplayed in and should’ve lost and the consensus is “well we didn’t deserve that one but a win is a win”
  2. Agreed. When you look at how badly some of these guys who were expected to produce have played to still be in wild card spot is actually a testament to how good the team is
  3. I mean 4 WAR and 150 wRC+ is awesome I wouldn’t care if Vlad had 4 WAR but his statcast page had some blue. He very well might’ve sucked here I can buy that lol
  4. Even Bellinger’s expected stats have improved and actually look good 83rd and 71st percentile xBA and xSLG 3.8 WAR and 150 wRC+ He’s been objectively awesome
  5. Zero chance there’s a 30 day concussion rehab He might not even have one. Pass the baseline tests and you’re cleared
  6. Who cares? As long as he’s good at his job I don’t give a s*** what he looks like
  7. Nope not impossible. Most important part for a baseball team is peaking at the right time like how the 2021 Jays did. Even though they missed the playoffs it’s safe to say nobody wanted to face them. Same could still happen
  8. Could’ve signed Belly in the offseason A 7 game stretch is insignificant. There are like 20 other weeks where he’s been terrible
  9. Needed a bat at the deadline. Team will go as far as Chappy, Springer and Vlad take them. I trust Bo, Belt, Jano, Merrifield to continue what they’ve done, I think Varsho is a lost cause this year, Kirk might be okay. Need those first three to be better. The pitching is good enough Cody Bellinger would have this team challenging for the division right now
  10. Nope there isn’t now with DeJong around. There’s enough versatility I’d rather give Horowitz a shot and see what he can do
  11. Berrios AAV is like 18M, he’s never missed a start and will probably be worth 3 WAR. With the price of starting pitching today Berrios contract looks like a bargain
  12. Cleveland rocks! Cleveland rocks!
  13. Yup. It’s taken a while to shake out but they’ve put together a really good and deep pen
  14. That would be excellent
  15. Ricky T But ya too soon to start calling that group the future
  16. Berrios and Gausman deals are looking like sweetheart contracts. Even Kikuchi is fine at 12M per
  17. Lmao that’s hilarious
  18. Good move from Johnny
  19. Great game to watch! That was enjoyable
  20. Right they can’t hold the fork but they can certainly keep tabs
  21. Yes they have contracts that is correct
  22. You don’t think they can control rehab or s&c in the offseason?
  23. Yes they do. Players are employees not contractors.
  24. They haven’t done anything right in a while. Remember when they used to just have a stable of studs in the pen and the game was over in that sixth? Not anymore
