  1. I don't really know how true that is either, lol. His velocity has tanked the last few years and so has his ability to stay healthy. I feel like he's just in terrible shape.
  2. Mat Latos might be the most revolting person in Major League Baseball. Can't really think of another current player that hate more
  3. It's true that a lot of recent Yankee top prospects have flopped. Banuelos, Montero, Williams, Heathcott. Severino and Bird might have bucked the trend though. Jury still out on Gary Sanchez. I'm not sure if it's an inordinate failure rate, or if people just pay more attention to Yankees prospects so the typical failures are noticed more.
  4. I wonder if all of my LoD OF prospects will go top ~40. I should probably trade one or two of them. Sorry if name-dropping.
  5. Will Aaron Judge go top ~15? 10? Wondering for LoD trade value purposes.
  6. We'll see how much it even matters. He was in frigging Petco last year and gave up 31 wall clearing parabolas He's like the new old Joe Blanton And fantasy aside, that contract is awful for KC. Wow bad.
  7. As Icarus the sun, He flew too close to home plate Carter Capps, soon dead (A Haiku by NJH)
  8. Personally, I would have Betances top 3 and Capps like, 30th.
  9. Need to trust your eyes sometimes and look up from the spreadsheets, you fangraphs dot com guy (I'm sure all of our top 5's are the same because we use the same simple methods: Kenley Jansen Aroldis Chapman Carter Capps Andrew Miller Craig Kimbrel)
  10. Of course he could also get deported I also crunched those numbers and Kelvin Herrera is the #1 RP in baseball next year so doesn't matter
  11. I crunched da numbas and even if he gets ~50, him + Brad Miller filling in = close enough to Gordon
  12. Well I said less than or equal to soo
  13. Only thing that makes any sense is if you can sign Gallardo for an AAV =< $12M, and then trade Dickey (and maybe Thole) for some kind of lower end SP prospect that is in the upper minors. Then they'd have expanded the depth chart by one name without really subtracting from the MLB team. Dickey actually fits the Royals ballpark and team well and they have some needs at SP. Dickey for a guy like Christian Binford or Brian Flynn, and then sign a FA SP for the same $12M or less?
  14. Obviously there is a price point where it makes sense. This report is still complete fabrication though. I can't see Toronto being interested at all in Gallardo. The rotation already has enough contact manipulation enigma bets in Dickey and Estrada. All public comments indicate that they are more or less happy with the top 6, and mostly focused on improving starters 7-10 on the depth chart.
  15. in the butt The one other guy in that deal that I think I could wish I held on to is Tucker. Not sure if he gets playing time though.
  16. I seen that I may have overreacted to Hammel's bad second half. However, Wainwright's track record is just so Acey and Hammel's just so isn't. Suffice to say, I don't really buy it. Maybe you could say that Steamer600 is overrating Hammel's expected volume contributions
  17. Absolutely the time to sell Pollock. Also, Lorenzo Cain. Sell sell sell.
  18. I have Andrus as hitter #331 on my spreadsheet (not positionally adjusted though).
  19. Of course. The GM basically just hires the people to do this stuff. He might have the final OK on very high draft picks.
  20. I might agree on the Gibbers point
  21. I think there's also an off-chance that Kelvin Herrera's K rate takes a huge step forward. He unveiled a wipeout slider in the playoffs that he's never had before.
