    It's hard to fathom. Toronto doesn't really have that big sexy centerpiece unless they include Stroman. Their other asks have been rumored to be... Corbin + Swanson + 3 others. Corbin + 5 others including 4 players that were in the MLB at some point last year. They would probably demand for Stroman, ask for Pillar/Travis + Pompey + Osuna, as well as a couple of Tellez + Vlad + Alford etc. Pillar + Travis + Osuna + Sanchez + Vlad + Alford Maybe that's a "bulk" package that Miami would actually think about? Seems retarded though.

    Chris Davis is the ultimate risk-reward free agent. 7.0 WAR - 2013 0.8 WAR - 2014 5.6 WAR - 2015 2.4 WAR - projection You're almost tempted to view his projection distribution as bimodal... I mean it feels like he's either going to be awesome or really suck, not something in between.

    Try to be more realistic. Revere for one of Delgado/RDR would be good for Toronto. Arizona still might not do it for payroll reasons though. They also might not even think they need an outfielder because Yasmany Tomas exists. Sure he's garbage but what do they know?

    I think they probably just don't have a good understanding of what his value is. Moncada got $63M on the open market and he was basically a talent equivalent for a #1 draft pick. That should say a lot.

    Why do you think I didn't notice that he added two fastball variants? It had no noticeable affect on his xFIP or SIERA and his xFIP- was actually worse than average. So now you tell me how he "improved".

    It's not my fault that Fangraphs has all of the relevant information. You want peripherals like HR%, K%, GB%, BB%? Fangraphs. You want non-skill indicators like BABIP, LOB%, HR/FB%? Fangraphs. You want FIP, xFIP, SIERA, xFIP-? Fangraphs. You want pitch types and other pitchFX information? Fangraphs. You want projections? Fangraphs. I think the better question is... what f*** are you looking at that isn't on Fangraphs in some way?

    Kind of related - Stroman will be a super two player specifically because he was used in relief for a couple of useless weeks in May 2014. I'm sure the new regime will be a lot more concerned about service time manipulation in general.

    Of course he has more trade value. Nobody would disagree. Probably only if they flip Miller this offseason. Otherwise, they could have gotten better long term assets a year ago.
