Billy Beane continues a string of bad moves, giving Madson 3/$22. Probably pushes Hendriks down into more of a secondary set up role.

They would probably ask for Pompey or Travis and not be all that interested in anything less. I don't really see the appeal in Cashner. He's a big injury risk and his production has to be pretty suspect too as a career Petco guy. He didn't even get a good amount of whiffs until last year.

It's not like Shark was amazing in Chicago. His RA9 skeez were not demonstrated even if the fWAR was good. His awesome 2014 kind of looks like an aberration. I mean he's good. I don't know if I would call him a strong #2 IRL.

The entire mobile industry in Canada is such a quagmire... the government made all those new rules to protect consumers but all it's seemed to have done is shift more costs to consumers. Sure, before you had to sign a 3 year contract but it seems like it was easier previously to get a $0 phone and a reasonable data plan. Now you just can't get anything reasonable with the major carriers. You're looking at spending $100+ out of pocket on a 2 year contract for any shiny phone, and then you HAVE to spend $75 to even get the discount on the "superphone". But even then, you probably get 1 GB tops for $75. So you're approaching $100 before you have anything reasonable. It's just not worth wading into. I'll just get hand me down last generation phones on the cheap from people that I know and try to keep my current plan forever. I'm currently paying $60 for 6GB and I feel like a pirate.

I know nothing about basketball or analytics, and he looks like a plug to me. Can't really shoot 3's and also doesn't/can't really attack the rim. He just seems to take a bulk load of mid-range 2's, without a great shooting percentage. I guess his best skill is getting to the line?

No big position players have signed yet. Everyone seems to be waiting for someone else to move first in the hitter market. Who knows if the O's even have the funds.

Very remote possibilities. None of them are likely to be good enough to warrant a QO when they are free agents.

Happ might still be a fair market deal come spring. Lots of people were floored when he got 36M, but at this point it looks like that was just the first domino to fall in a crazy FA market surge. The Estrada deal looks pretty nice though. He probably would have easily gotten a 3rd year on the market.

I'm not convinced that they even need to add a big name pitcher. They already have an absolute Ace, some really good mid rotation guys, depth, and high upside rookies.
