  1. This is the DDL. Poor form was invented here
  2. I was determined to top the offer but I've changed my mind
  3. Tell us the high offer in explicit terms, immediately, or else
  4. Then why are people begging for them to be promoted? Bo and Vlad are tiny little babies. I'm fine with them being treated like babies, for now. Next year Bo can go A+ --> AA --> AAA (For the record, the competition is notably different. And so is the environment).
  5. Someone please reply with a screen cap of 27 - Jonathan Villar Or just as good, 48 - Byron Buxton 51 - Dansby Swanson So smart
  6. Hahahaha. Bret Sayre does not want to open this can of worms.
  7. What if there is a TIE. Can we DFA hurl and Gary?
  8. Bugs the s*** out of me when content like this just regurgitates the stats. There is basically no new information. I WANT GRADES
  9. Mookie kind of skipped his chance to place highly on the prospect lists by ascending too fast. In 2014 he debuted at AA, AAA, and MLB, using up his rookie eligibility. Same thing happened with Goldy FWIW. That was one part of it.
  10. Oh he has. The slightly open stance is gone, the tall setup with the high hands and exaggerated barrel tip is gone (these are all things his brother used to do). The toe tap was gone before he went pro. His basic swing now is basically what Donaldson does. It's still loud and proud #Pride2017 but it's not stupid. He also dramatically changes his approach/swing with 2 strikes and becomes a right handed Raimel Tapia. And when facing certain pitchers or in certain situations he uses different swings - different amounts of leg kick, basically. It's all very cool. He's a hitting genius.
  11. Not fat per se, just kind of doughy. Not obviously athletic. If you simply eyeballed his high school team you might have pegged him as the LF or 1B. Or catcher. I actually think the kind of bad high school body probably turned some scouts off. He looks completely different now.
  12. Bo was a bit of a porker in the videos from high school... almost looked like a LF/1B prospect. He's in remarkably better shape as a pro.
  13. Anyone think picking up good Canadian boy Michael Saunders could be a very small upgrade? Or are we happy with DSJ and ZEKE!
  14. One Cutch SB away from a nice fat 14-0 over TheHurl... please!!!!
  15. Must read Bo profile. http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/big-read-know-blue-jays-prospect-bo-bichette/
  16. look at this hot take
  17. Bo won't get quite that much love. My favourite player to compare him to right now is Mookie Betts. So many similarities. The swings are more similar than most realize (including the swing path). A lot of the tools are comparable; Mookie has more speed but Bo might have a bit more pop. The defensive profile and developmental path might be identical (we'll see). I think Mookie is a really fair comp for Bo's upside. Mookie in 2013 had a year like Bo's, that made prospectophiles cream their pants. .314/.417/.506 with 15 HR and 38 SB, while playing the infield, split between A and A+ as a 20 year old. Not as eye-popping as Bo's slashline and he was one year older BUT Mookie was uber-elite in an important way that Bo hasn't been: Mookie had 81 walks and only 57 strikeouts in 127 games. He was clearly special, much like Bo is now clearly special. BA and MLB.com ranked Mookie 75th and 62nd heading into 2014. I don't think BP even ranked him! Bo might get slightly better treatment but I would still not expect him to crack any list's top 25... could be wrong. In my books (which are the best books) he's already in the elite. Most evaluators and rankers will fail to grasp the statistical significance of what he is doing this year. They'll treat it much the same as they'd treat a 20 year old hitting .320/.420/.520 in the same league. Just thrown into the "really really good!" bucket.
  18. I need scouting reports or profiles on my new trade chips!
  19. I can't find anything about him, at least not any sort of legitimate scouting report. He wasn't a highly ranked international prospect. You can infer from his assignment to Lansing that Toronto thinks something of him.
