  1. No, Mike Foltynoseicz
  2. Mike Snortynewicz
  3. That's almost shocking considering how good he was in 2018. Was under control through 2021 too. Has looked like trash this year and velocity is way down.
  4. What, you don't want to see Sammy G close this one out?
  5. BorACEki
  6. I think this Ryan Borucki kid might be an Ace.
  7. imagine being mad because a SP prospect is starting the 6th game of the season rather than the 4th or 5th.
  8. You could make a similar apologetic list for every team in baseball. Realistically, teams need 10+ starters over a normal season so guys like Borucki, Kay, Hatch, and Murphy are not really bullpen considerations. They might be for shorter periods but they will either be in the rotation or in the AAA rotation. Merryweather does not exist. SRF is awful. Font might be okay I guess. Romano is completely unproven. Dolis looks like the old MLB Dolis. Yamaguchi is like the Japanese Gaviglio. Not sure why he was brought in. I'm just not seeing it. I almost think they should throw caution to the wind in 2020 though. f*** these junk ballers like Gaviglio and Yamaguchi and Moran. Let's just set Hector Perez, Murphy, and Joey Murray loose in the pen and see what happens.
  9. post here about game k
  10. It looks neglected. I think they were expecting Yamaguchi and Dolis to be better. I guess Dolis still could be good, it's mostly been control issues for him in his two outings, but Yamaguchi just looks like nothing.
  11. It's like Montoyo was hired to ruin Giles' career. f***s him up in 2019 and then f***s him up even harder in 2020. Double tap by Charles Buntoyo.
  12. Also you can play a professional basketball game anywhere, you really just need a flat spot. The nets are mobile and even the surface is often in pieces. Baseball fields are way different. As fun as a 2020 MLB season in some minor league parks would be, pros wouldn't even like playing on most AAA fields and the park factors might be just insane between venues.
  13. The rub here is that even with Vlad "struggling" the way he currently is he is still an above average hitter and a guy that can realistically hit .300 or hit .280 with 20+ homers. That's what groundball Vladdy can do. So it's not comparable to an actual prospect's struggles, if you think of guys who come up and strikeout 40% of the time or hit .200. It's not like you can demote him. It might be hard to really impress upon him that he needs a fundamental overhaul when there is no glaring failure going on.
  14. How about this: - Cancel the 2020 season as currently designed - Each team sends one hitter and one batting practice pitcher to a bubble stadium - HR derby for the 2020 World Series - Back back back back back back back back back back back back
  15. I had the option of making those 3.1 days their own week or part of a 10.1 day week #1. I decided to make them them their own week, just to give us one extra matchup. Maybe it will be our only matchup this year!
  16. I am so depressed now
  17. I've added: Thomas Hatch Nick Neidert Taylor Widener to debut waivers
  18. short one on terrible Montoyo https://www.radioscouts.com/charlie-montoyo-stumbles-early-in-2020/
  19. If anyone needs a SS, I'm looking to flip Tim Anderson or Adalberto Mondesi for a pitcher. SP or RP.
  20. KC is rushing him though. Could really f*** up his s***
  21. I support this moderation and will volunteer to be a mod if help is needed.
  22. I've put Enoli Paredes and William Contreras on debut waivers. Andres Gimenez is already on waivers. Here is a summary of how this works. This ESPN page shows all MLB debuts: http://www.espn.com/mlb/debuts. It shows roster debuts which is good; a player does not need to pitch or get an AB to show up on the list, they just need to have been on the active roster. Our rule states that players can be added freely "as soon as 8 PM Eastern Time on the day following their first day the real life 26-man MLB roster." If you want to add a player who was recently called up, you can check the ESPN page to make sure their first day on the roster meets the requirements. The vast majority of players will not go through waivers as the majority will not be worth claiming in our league. I will try to check the ESPN debut site daily and if I see any actual prospects I will slap them on a 2 day waiver period so the league has a fair shot at them. Who I slap on waivers will be completely arbitrary and I might miss some guys who are good if I don't know about them. I'll ask other commissioners to check the ESPN site too as I won't be able to every day. If a player is promoted and anybody in our league wants them to hit waivers, just post about it and we will add them. If anyone worth claiming is promoted just bring them to our attention. To put someone on waivers you go to Commissioner > All Options > Player Status Override
  23. Advanced, modern coaching and training probably accounts for 90% of it. Decent chance they’ve added some illegal foreign substances into the mix in previous years though.
