  2. did you guys see that f***ing catch by Jonathan Davis dude is a moron could have been paralyzed instantly
  3. On July 31, 2016, the Yankees traded Miller to the Cleveland Indians for Clint Frazier, Justus Sheffield, Ben Heller and J. P. Feyereisen Is Feyereisen somehow the best of those four names!? Did Clint Frazier change his name to Jackson!??? https://www.fangraphs.com/players/clint-frazier/15983/stats?position=OF
  4. this was my assumption that her face you see on TV is just completely fake, like half an inch of makeup but if the goblin pic is from high school then maybe it's not that extreme

Crosby used to play with two nobodies I'd probably put Marner with Johnny T and ask Matthews to carry two dudes on his line. No doubt they lose offense if they move Nylander but I think if the trade is good they come out as a better team all things considered.
  6. He should, at least as a reserve. He's a stud.
  7. hahaha is that real what is that thing
  8. The first posts about Houck were fine, Connor. How hard is this to understand...

I don't know enough about hockey to say I just don't think he's a complete player and they don't really need his offense

then that's the window for the current core I suppose I think they should trade Nylander though
  11. This message board is so much better when we have pretty strict moderation on the no politics rule. It's obvious at this point. Everyone would say it, you all know it.
  12. leave it to our resident Freedom Fighters to ruin the message board after a glorious walk off win by refusing to shut the f*** up about politics
  13. No matter what happens, right call to remove Stripling. He suffers a lot third time through. And it's good hitters...
  14. That's lazy as f***
  15. With a hypothetical Tiedemann promotion the decision would be more like... - He only has a few starts left in the minors anyway. So whether he pitches those ~16 innings in AA or the MLB pen might not make much difference - Scouts think he would be a wipeout MLB reliever today - Toronto desperate for bullpen help So a few things would kind of need to come together. Very unlikely of course but there is a way to justify it. Then in 2023 he's probably back to his usual MiLB SP routine at least to start the year...
  16. Bo is basically Javier Baez with one full scouting grade improvement on the hit tool + one full scouting grade subtraction on defense
  17. Yeah the Cards used to do this all the time. Then teams became obsessed with control and you saw it less. Probably felt like it was wasting control using good arms as relievers. But maybe there will be a return to that with the whole opener trend, and starters going shorter. If you track things we probably are already seeing it. Like, good prospects breaking in as long relievers who follow the openers.
  18. Sanchez got very lucky that year so saying "he won an ERA title" is hyperbolic as far as assessing his talent. Him not being able to stay healthy is kind of the whole point, but his command was also f***ing dogshit and not SP quality, evidently. Same kind of thing with Osuna and injury risk. His mechanics probably don't hold up as a starter. And with the added stress of starting games, how many other women does he punch?
  19. Every time I think about pitching prospect development and the tendency to leave players as starters forever, I think about Osuna, Castro, and Sanchez. Osuna - absolutely the right decision to fire him straight into relief. Castro - also the right decision even if it did not work out for Toronto really. Sanchez - should have never been an MLB starter. I know it's anecdotal...
  20. Yeah maybe It would depend on my internal analysis of how they would transition to the pen. Like, scout and coach opinions. Would call 'em up before September too Toronto might HAVE to do something "irresponsible" like that
  21. I'd definitely trade Romano, or Orelvis, or Moreno, or Tiedemann, in the right deals. I'd trade Springer too but nobody would want the contract. I could see selling Bo Bichette but it would be a monster trade that would never happen.

I think they could rebuild around Matthews at some point in the future and try again. How many teams did Washington have to try to build around Ovechkin before finally winning a cup? Several different constructions right. It depends how Matthews ages of course and how long he can be locked up for. Tavares is still okay... what does he have left on his deal like three years?
  23. Yeah I don't mean 7th inning guy. I mean 7th best reliever.
  24. Goldschmidt's season is putting him firmly on the HoF track Pretty cool because around the time he went from ARI to STL it looked like decline was setting in. Like his K rate was up in 2018 then his production was down in 2019.
