    I would love to see someone do some professional hitting coach style analysis of Vlad's current swing, from the open side view. I wonder what the mechanical flaws are.

    Part of me thinks Vlad's current mental funk is the result of a string of s*** luck. As stupid as that sounds. It seems like a lot of the times this year when he goes to the plate with a patient approach the pitcher just happens to paint two perfect sliders on the lower outside corner that clip the zone, or get a call when the ball is just outside. I think that has happened enough this year to just completely f*** him up to be honest. Now he's lost. This is purely anecdotal of course. It's like he is there at the plate some of the time EXPECTING to have to make contact with a perfect, pitcher's pitch of a slider. This makes him swing at a whole bunch of garbage stuff off the plate and it also contorts him against meatballs and pitches on the inner half.

    Dasan Brown .283 .383 .420 nice! The lists are probably outdated at this point. Some publications re-order players midseason but they don't do a full re-assessment of everybody until the offseason. There is no way Brown is 30th with those numbers and his tools, he might even be top 20 now. Similar things for Gabriel Martinez he might be top 6 or so.

    Before anyone says Albert would never cheat, he's too straight edge... I mean Doc was ostensibly as "clean" as MLB stars get and we found out after he died that he was basically on drugs his entire career No doubt in my mind that Albert is on SOMETHING right now. But it could I guess just be an aggressive but legal concoction of cortisone shots and pain killers and stimulants lol
