  1. new forum?
  2. This is also NOT an Austin Martin situation where Toronto could maybe squeeze significant trade value out of him before his issues are known industry wide. When Toronto traded Martin he had a 133 wRC+ in AA and still carried his draft pedigree. The cat is out of the bag on Groshans.
  3. Groshans gets a full mulligan from me based on his almost elite BB/K and his age. Basically, I don't want him traded and would like to see him stick with the org and get a second crack at AAA next year. And in the offseason help him find a hitting lab to unlock the pop.
  4. Sounds like he can handle SS at least. But not likely to be the starting MLB SS. "Barger makes all the routine plays at shortstop and should do enough to stick at the position until someone with more tools comes along and pushes him to second base. He's a smart player who understands the game and makes adjustments at a level that encourages scouts about his on-field makeup."
  5. do you want back into the league or what
  6. Yeah he looked good enough. Never completely lost it like he did in almost every other start this year. Tigers suck though so who knows. The strikezone was actually tight tonight I think so it was good to see goochi pitch through that. He only threw 67 pitches, could have gone another inning
  7. I think what Ray is trying to say is that Orelvis doesn't need to be a great "hitter" to be a good MLB player. He just needs to not be a bad hitter. So a 40 MLB hit tool might be enough. That's still a big improvement for him to make though, to get to that point.
  8. Nah man not many teams are topping Moreno and Tiedemann. I mean not many teams COULD even top it. Even the ones that could, wouldn't. Toronto isn't even doing that. Moreno is elite. BA just ranked him #1 in the sport. He alone is worth the top 2 to 4 prospects of some other orgs.
  9. Kirk made two good swing decisions and just missed his pitches. The third pitch was a perfect pitch
  10. goddamn Josh Lowe pulled a Derek Fisher today and it lead to an inside the parker for Mancini.
  11. O's would still project as a bottom 10 team regardless of their record today so their playoff odds are still s***. They should absolutely sell.
  12. The extent of the outfield upgrades has me excited about the infield changes. They might do some big s*** and really transform the character of the entire park. The website says they will reveal them in the coming months. Seems like the outfield construction will be done before 2023 but maybe they stagger the infield construction to the next offseason?
  13. I haven't heard a single player complain about it in years so I am assuming the new turf is popular... by which I mean people don't notice it really.
  14. I think they will bring the walls OUT in the corners, to be right under the seats, and then bring the bullpens up as you see I wonder if it will make the ballpark LESS homer friendly?
  15. This all seems excellent Big takeaways: - new outfield wall dimensions! see how the bullpens kind of bulge out - the 500 level update seems excellent since the current bank of empty seats is just wasted space - the website says stay tuned for infield upgrades in the coming months
  16. honestly who gives a f*** about grass anymore? i don't see why it's a big deal yeah it would be nice but it's a domed stadium and the new turf they have seems really good, you barely notice it's not grass anymore
  17. All valid I thought McClanahan has some type of injury history but I am googling it now and see absolutely nothing
  18. horrible saddest f***ing s*** of the year
  19. I dunno. He is better and projects a bit better but there is the whole "devil you know" thing and Manoah is such a good fit here. Also, maybe McClanahan with his velo and delivery has a bit more injury risk? Manoah is a pretty free and easy pitcher.
  20. no lies the JP Ricciardi teams are what got me into baseball i hated the sport as a spectator until like 2004-2006 or so
  21. Man Bowden Francis getting destroyed in AAA is a bigger deal (detriment) for the 2022 Blue Jays than people think. Peep the Fangraphs pre-season report: That guy would sure be nice to have this season.
  22. I look dumb 40% of the time You look dumb 50% of the time
  23. I dunno. If he does more stuff that looks like trolling he's gone, sure.
