  1. The thing with these ticket prices is... if you want to attend a game in person and not spend a lot, you can still sit in the 500s for like $20. You cannot say that about the other sports. Last I checked, even with the Raptors being s*** this year, upper bowl tickets were like $70
  2. I am the assistant general manager. ahem, assistant TO the general manager...
  3. "that better include food" lol what a f***ing Karen comment if I am spending $205 for a ticket that better include a $5 hot dog!

Toronto looked okay for most of this game but Boston just wears you down and tires you out with possession skills + winning all these little battles

    too good.
  6. You could just read the rule "If the pitcher steps off or throws to the bases a third time, the runner automatically advances if the pickoff attempt is unsuccessful."
  7. That Varsho projection is wacky for some reason. ZIPS also has his defense as not good which makes no sense. But the rest of those projections are perfectly reasonable. Toronto is good. The Chapman one might be like 10% too high. Belt, it's more about playing time than talent. He could put up a 130 wRC+ and be worth nothing if he only lasts 30 games. But he had 150 and 170 wRC+ marks in 2020 and 2021... I think the Vlad proj is actually worse than the other projection systems?
  8. they do matter for some HoF voters
  9. PED admission 3 time AS and no other hardware vs. Clean Zack 6 time AS Cy Young Gold Gloves Silver Sluggers
  10. you're not getting it
  11. You might as well just cut prospects if you intend to make picks and legal up your roster Have to do it soon anyway
  12. but nobody wants to cut anybody, lol that's the point
  13. Yes but Zack Greinke is not married to Brandy Halladay, that's worth something
  14. Just realized the Blue Jays have a young nerd on the coaching staff David Howell, headed into his second season on an MLB staff, is just 25 years old. A graduate of the University of Minnesota in 2018, he spent a year as a graduate assistant at LSU before joining the Blue Jays in 2020. He spent that season working with minor league pitchers at the alternate training site and the ’21 campaign at the team’s rookie complex before making the jump to the majors.
  15. I don't remember how the draft room works I think if your roster is full it will skip you Did we temporarily bump max roster spots last year to run the draft? Does it let you draft players directly to the minors? I feel like we HAVE to raise max roster spots temporarily.
  16. I don't know for sure but I don't think you can sign a player directly to the 60 man IL. I think they have to be on your 40 man roster first to be eligible for the 60. So no, I don't think Toronto could have waited a couple weeks to make this official in order to avoid a DFA
  17. Jays announced it But are saying two year deal with options for 25 and 26
  18. Multiple real reporters have confirmed it
  19. damn, later than I thought so a mid-season return is probably too aggressive.
  20. Yeah I would imagine he underwent a fairly standard medical + perhaps updated imaging on the elbow so Toronto could get an independent opinion on whether or not the surgery looked perfect.
  21. thank you for calling me the smartest guy in the room
  22. Technically it just means Toronto waived the condition in the contract that lets them review medicals and spike the deal if they don't like them. It doesn't mean he passed some health benchmark.
  23. Good lord you are simple
