  1. Bringing in old vets is always cool but you wonder what type of impact these guys actually have. Like, Barry Bonds was a bad hitting coach.
  2. You selling anybody?
  3. Wow I drafted a few good prospects
  4. do I have any good prospects other than Nemec? please advise, lol
  5. I meant a show like 90 Day Fiance, where everybody is basically made fun of.
  6. Man, it's not appealing to any normal person here either lmao. But yeah I am surprised your mail order liabilities aren't into it. They could go from dumpster diving in Bratislava to selling their farts online in a month. That's levelling up quickly.
  7. how much does 90 day fiance pay
  8. It's the finesse part of it. Switch hitting doesn't necessitate using much finesse from either side of the plate. Even if you are a plus hitter from both sides who can, say, serve specific pitches into the opposite field at will... the finesse required pales in comparison to the specialization and feel needed to consistently execute offspeed pitches or hit your spots. I think the only way to make it work and train each arm adequately would be to basically double your throwing time. Like if a normal P throws 7 hours per week, you need to throw 7 hours per week on each arm. It would be funny to sign your switch pitching kid up for two travel ball teams and make him a RHP on one and a LHP on the other.
  9. I don't even think Venditte threw 88
  10. Step 1 is a full healthy season as a reliever Step 2 would be pushing the innings (year 2) Step 3 you hope he can be a Drew Rasmussen type, five inning SP. If all goes well he's under team control for two years as that type of SP. His age 28 and 29 seasons.
  11. Yeah Toronto likely doesn't care about him being a bit late but they WILL use it as a reason to make him betray Mexico
  12. I'm not bullying, he likes this
  13. You are the perfect candidate for that show.
  14. Nothing you say makes any sense, and nobody cares about you or likes you, on the internet or in the real world.
  15. hold up while connorp shoots a brick or two
  16. This is also missing his high school injury. I think he had a screw put into his elbow!
  17. right... but you shoot blanks, you inbred donut hole
  18. When you have the chance to keep 31 year old Kaleb Ort on your 40 man roster, you have to do it.
  19. SoRrY tO cOuNtEr ThE gReAt, UnQuEsTiOnEd LeAdEr Of tHe bOaRd wItH fAcTs
  20. Honestly, what the f*** is wrong with you? Nothing I said was wrong. It's a hilarious run of events regardless of what the Red Sox did or did not know. Note that if the Red Sox knew he would be discharged they probably would have been able to work out a trade even if they didn't want him. Then the acquiring team could simply put him on the 40 but keep him in the minors, rather than the awkwardness of the Rule 5.
  21. This is AMAZING. Chaim Bloom strikes again. Boston drafts Noah Song 137th overall in 2019. Signs him. Keeps him all through his naval service. Elects not to protect him in the recent Rule 5. Philly picks him Dec 2022 in the Rule 5. Two months later, he is granted a discharge. He might be a weapon in their pen immediately and a future rotation piece.
  22. Merrifield is the 4th OF, Espinal the backup SS, Biggio is the third 1B option on the team and a platoon player. Pretty different functions despite them all being "second basemen" I like the flexibility. Any of the three can play themselves into a more or less prominent role depending on actual production... There is even a way for Barger to steal the 2B job outright and relegate all three of them to the bench.
  23. Fangraphs top 100. Barger made it at 53rd Hit Raw Power Game Power Run Fielding Throw 40/45 60/60 50/60 40/40 40/40 45 Barger has huge left-handed bat speed and a shot to stay on the dirt, just not at shortstop. The Blue Jays coaxed Barger away from a Florida commitment with $270,000, and he barely played during his first two full seasons, one of them lost to the pandemic. Toronto didn’t accelerate his promotion schedule to make up for the lost time, so he began 2021 back at Low-A as a 21-year-old and (mostly) flew under the FanGraphs prospect radar as an old-for-the-level player until 2022, when Barger hammered High- and Double-A pitching as a 22-year-old. He hit 26 homers and 33 doubles and posted a 148 wRC+ at Vancouver and New Hampshire before he was promoted to Triple-A Buffalo at the very end of the year. Barger then went to the Arizona Fall League, where his left-handed bat speed stood out among lots of other good hitting prospects. His swing is a spectacle, lots of fun when he’s on time and frustrating when he’s late, utilizing a narrow, open stance and a huge leg kick. Barger can really cut it loose and is a threat to do damage on every swing. Though he’s been playing a lot of shortstop, he isn’t a fit there and his hands and actions are below average. He’s okay at second and third base, but the Blue Jays’ infield is already pretty loaded, so he’s likely to see time in the outfield this year. Ideally he’ll play a few different positions based on the game situation. We think there will be enough power for Barger to produce like an average regular in a multi-positional role.
  24. Kirky makin' meatballs happy for him f*** Rob Longley
  25. I think Castillo is an Ace and Kirby and Gilbert are very good. Ray seemed to be slipping last year but he may be able to do it if he can just chew innings. Oh, also, these are FANTASY projections by Eno Sarris so not necessarily WAR projections. The Mariners pitchers have a good park, so they get a park factor boost.
