    Well they did just pound Hunter Greene who has a harder average FB than Grayson. Hopefully the Jays are "geared up" for velocity and able to turn on some pitches

    Division odds are down to like 3%. I wouldn't worry too much about that or get your hopes up. If Toronto still had 6 or 9 games left against BAL then maybe it's worth cheering for but... I dunno. Slim odds. 2 of 3 or a sweep would be great for the Wild Card race though.

    On its face this makes no sense. His numbers in A ball were not even dominant. 57 Ks in 48 games. Amazing considering his age but still... then the poor numbers in 9 A+ games. There must be some other factor here. Some other piece of information.

    Better SS defender I think DeJong was at 1.5 fWAR when the trade happened. Maybe the team thought a 85 wRC+ with pop would be preferable to a contact driven 85 wRC+. Who knows.

    I feel like Toronto's remaining schedule is easier than all the other teams in the WC mix. Those 6 Yankee games remaining looked like tough matchups weeks ago but they might have mailed it in by then... After the BAL series this week Toronto has 15 consecutive games against CLE, WSH, COL, OAK, KCR. Really need to go like, 12-3 or better in that stretch. And then succeed head to head against the AL East teams and Texas to finish out the year. On September 22 Toronto still has 6 games remaining against Tampa Bay. It will be cool if they are limping to the finish and within a game or two. Man, taking 2 against Baltimore this week would be nice.
