    Dunno about that but the basic theory is that he'd be a slight downgrade on Bo at SS but Toronto would gain 1 year of SS control and Morel who is a spare part for Chicago

    omfg Lynn and Gibson is pretty gross and adding them both to a Mikolas rotation is puke. Zack Thompson, Steven Matz, Mathew Liberatore, Sem Robberse, Adam Kloffenstein. It's the ugliest rotation in MLB history. Not the WORST in history just the ugliest. almost NO upside beyond league average innings eater performances. I think they best they can hope for is 3 WAR from maybe Mikolas or Matz?

Kendry Rojas Chad Dallas, Peyton Williams, Alex De Jesus, Will Robertson, Adrian Pinto, Manuel Beltre, Victor Arias, Irv Carter, CJ Van Eyk, Mason Fluharty, Michael Dominguez, Dasan Brown, Gabriel Martinez are some other names that could either round out a top 30 or slide into the top 20 based on preference. I know nothing of the 2023 draftees other than Arjun Nimmala; it is very possible a few of them belong on the top 20. Did Davis Schneider lose prospect status? If not, he's my #2.

    Well he was very good last year too. You can see this in some of the fancy stats like Fenwick and Point Shares. Even basic stuff though like his shots on goal - 293 last year, big jump.

    98 stuff+ and 100 location+ in his 31 2023 innings those figures were 107 and 102 in his 2021 small sample and 104/101 in 2020 he seemed cooked in 2023 that's for sure. velo and stuff decline is notable. got shelled in AAA. not sure he would be worth the gamble of an MLB roster spot for Toronto but 98/100 is close to viable for a SP. there are quality innings eaters with that kind of profile.

    fWAR is the better WAR for hitters and it's not close IMO but there are arguments against fWAR for pitchers. It just uses FIP. That can be dumb for many pitchers. e.g. guy plays his whole career in a park his whole career where homers are 13% more likely, fWAR just assumes every HR was all his fault! obviously not fair

    I agree. Not feeling any of the long-term 3B options at all so unless there is something in trade I would just cheap out and get some slap hitter 1 year stop gap. Maybe hope a prospect can take the position. Spend a bit for quality 1 year veterans at LF or DH. Maybe even a multi-year quality veteran at LF...

    The downside to this is he comes into 2024 and looks like s*** again. The he has almost NO value. Right now there are probably a few teams that think they can fix him. That number drops rapidly with bad results again
