  1. Only you two f***nuggets would spin freaking Izzy Kinder Falaffle actually being a good signing into something negative
  2. It's a little self fulfilling though innit If you suck then your opponents are more likely to be or become "above .500 teams"
  3. Brandon League! Well, Toronto Brandon League. I think he was identical to Pop. He found a splitter after leaving Toronto and had those good years.
  4. Pop over Pearson? Noooooooooooo I know Pop has pitched okay but he has a 5.95 FIP right now and is missing no bats. He probably sucks. Pearson has a better FIP than Green and Richards and the best Stuff+ after Romano. I'd probably say he is #4 right now, and will be #5 when Romano comes back. I can't jump him over Green and Richards yet but there are arguments in his favour.
  5. What do we think of Nate Pearson now? He might be their #2 or #3 RP at the moment lol
  6. Absolutely old school way would be some kind of template, bullet points and just stick to it new school, use AI lol
  7. Yeah they need to either staff up or pivot. Writeups for even the top 10 org prospects don't need to be as long as they make them unless the player is uniquely interesting. Outside the top 10, some bullet points would be completely fine. Most people are more interested in the grades and objective information than the colour and player context anyway. Example from their 29th ranked Marlins prospect. Their text: My version that would convey the same info:
  8. smaller bat might cause lower EVs but I don't see how it could or would cause decreased FB distances vs the EV.... what a f***show hire a f***ing physicist you dumb org
  9. “I think damage is kind of a scary word,” Mattingly said
  10. That kind of HR is the thing Vlad should be able to do like 10 times a year I know it was a s***** hanging cutter from a minor league trashbird rookie but it was still on the black and he almost always just slaps that into the ground good sign!
  11. Damn I thought Cade Povich would have better stuff He's like, 91mph poo
  12. we will find out later in Vlad's career that he was corking his bad or something super dumb and that was ruining the trajectory
  13. IKF is just the last thing to even complain about from the offseason. I don't even understand why his name keeps coming up. He is a 29 year old with good bat control, surprisingly decent maxEV, elite 3B defense and positive baserunning. So easy to justify the signing unless you are a Yankees fan. The worst decision was probably KK. $10M to an injury prone 34 year old with mediocre-at-best plate discipline, when the roster already had an elite CF.
  14. RE the team being unwatchable piss It's not even just that they lose and don't score. They don't even seem physically capable of doing impressive things. They don't have the tools or the approaches or the preparation. Ryan Mountcastle and Tony Santander are league average players at best and in the last two games they have each hit a homer that was more cool and fun than anything a Blue Jay has done this year. When was the last time a Blue Jay is an absolute bomb that mattered?
  15. Vlad at 3B is actually hilarious when thinking about IKF. It's like Atkins is trying to ruin the one good thing he did this offseason. Oh you have an elite defensive 3B? Better stick Vlad there.
  16. Good job I guess it is fair to use that seven year cut off just so the measurement is the same on both sides of the line. Even if it is a bit weird since some prospects take 4 years to get to MLB then have 6 years of control. But, time is not infinite and we don't know the future. I guess we would also need to look at international signings. AA has Osuna in that timeframe which was a smash hit. I think Shapiro has had some good ones but they still have not debuted. Orelvis and Leo Jimenez. And then MLB development is the big problem. Right now the big issue is players like Vlad, Bo, Kirk going backwards in their mid 20s.
  17. The gap between expectations and the product is just so massive
  18. At least trade him to the As Poor kid
  19. They cannot let Ross Atkins run this trade deadline Ugh
  20. The Rogers BOD must be having interesting conversations these days Nothing like some godawful losses immediately after the new jersey launch!
  21. Just completely outclassed Ryan Mountcastle is like the 8th best Orioles position player and he's better than our generational talent franchise slugger
  22. He wanted to run the catcher I think His instinct was to body check the C rather than slide around him Almost every other player takes the outside route and slides around
