  1. LMAO that is hilarious if true because I made this precise post yesterday As soon as I heard Toronto was doing a city connect jersey I thought of tkaronto and thought they might do something virtue signally with trees standing in the water or
  2. Yeah some good command guys have started doing this with high two-seamers (bassitt) and sweepers/cutters aiming for the high corners of the zone more often mostly for whiffs right now though, not called strikes
  3. You're probably just noise The team, org, coaches = full of weak men psychologically stunted human beings tiny stegosauras brains bad game plans and bad emotional regulation forget about ice in the veins these jerks have veins full of green tea or some weak sauce like that
  4. tied 14th in wRC+ 25th in runs it's almost like that book It where the clown knows your deepest fears and exploits them that is what is happening to all of us this season oh, you thought they were inexplicably bad with RISP last year?
  5. The counterpoint is - look at all the other City Connect jerseys
  6. why would that happen though? command guys famously play with expanded strike zones and some of them live by getting calls one inch off the plate stuff guys who can get swing and miss in the zone might become even more important now
  7. I am not kidding here I wonder if a lot of the Blue Jays front office people are more concerned about the farm system than they are about the MLB team It is more worrisome in a lot of ways
  8. It will go both ways. Certain pitches that NEVER get called a strike but clip the zone will get called a strike. That will be s***** for hitters and piss them off. Think, hanging curveballs that clip the top of the zone. But other pitches that OFTEN get called a strike but do not touch the zone will rightly be balls. How many times to the Blue Jays RHB get f***ed over, per game, by pitches away or down and away that are clearly off the plate? Hard to say how it will balance out. The called strike zone is an oval (or rectangle thingy with rounded corners) and the rulebook zone is a rectangle.
  9. Baseball with no Angel Hernandez, no Joe West hmmmmm who are the worst umpires now?
  10. crazy trade but maybe Skenes is actually Strasburg
  11. Cabrera lmfaoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo kill me
  12. Danny Mendick can't get it done eh Should have hired Sally Ladyvag
  13. probably so constipated it hurts i bet he hasn't pooped this month
  14. wait do we even want them to win we probably want them to lose 10 straight so the dorks at the top get canned i am confused
  15. seriously why was bassitt pulled at 80 pitches?
  16. Zach Pop! HIGH LEVERAGE RELIEVER ZACHARY POP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. I figured they would do something Native American Like throw Tkaronto on the jerseys and stuff https://www.complex.com/sports/a/natalie-harmsen/indigenous-blue-jays-jersey
  18. If the Toronto City Council was playing a charity softball game and Nike sponsored the jerseys, I would expect something like that
  19. worst possible city connect design lmao omg
  20. He went like 30/60 with 30 singles
  21. Yeah Vlad is recovering some trade value right now He's really on such a razor's edge between worthless and intriguing
  22. Rossy's offseason plan: - regression would improve the offense by a significant amount. i.e., Vlad, Varsho, Kirk, Springer would pretty much all be better - the pitching and defense would be about as good - IKF would be a contributor - Turner would be a contributor It has not worked! - Vlad and Varsho are better - Kirk and Springer are worse - The defense is still good - The pitching is worse - IKF has been very good - Turner has been very bad And then the wildcard sandbag - Bo Bichette sitting at 0.5 WAR in 200 PA, after three consecutive 4+ WAR years. Your 26 year old star bites the dust right after you tried to toe the line on offense. What a guy punch. It's like Bo is trying to get Ross fired!!!
  23. That one was definitely pure sarcasm
