  1. Yes
  2. Skenes ROY Skenes earns full year of service time Pirates do not get a bonus pick. Idiots. Hope the 7 starts in the minors were worth it???
  3. What analysis exactly?
  4. Mitch Half White
  5. not a horrible group projection to be honest. that's like an 85 win team. who knows if it's legit though. last year they projected for like 87 wins and we all saw what happened.
  6. It is not hard to imagine Instead of Vlad you have something like Santander for 4/$80M and Goldschmidt or whatever for 1/$12M. Plus whoever you think they might be able to sign while keeping Vlad. Say Max Fried for 5/$125 Plus a few more prospects. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee plan the parade
  7. Good deal tbh. Jays should've.
  8. Can't believe d'arnaud is almost 36 Makes me feel old

Raps lost their pick this year so have it for 2025 right?
  10. Damn, Willy Adames is going to get PAID. Mets might spend a billion dollars this winter
  11. I think just BTS and it has always been ironic
  12. The Cardinals are really a dogshit organization. It's been obvious for years and years yet they kept kind of winning in spite of themselves. The weak division helped, but they probably also had a few really good old school scouts or decision makers keeping the org afloat. But it's over. The Willson Contreras situation is embarrassing. They sign him and immediately dislike the player. Now they are moving him to 1B full time with three years left on his contract. Their pitching development and strategy has been atrocious. If they do trade Sonny Gray, that is going to be so ugly.
  13. Gerrit Cole's agent gets ready to finally read his contract
  14. Gerrit Cole opting out
  15. RE Pivetta I wonder how much his career has been tarnished by bad ball parks
  16. The jobs a year ago were all entry level positions, it was right in the ad. https://blogs.fangraphs.com/instagraphs/job-posting-toronto-blue-jays-multiple-entry-level-opportunities/ All of these new postings seem to be senior or mid-level.
  17. Nicky Martinez out-WARd Michael Wacha who just extended for 3/$51 But NM likely just takes the QO still

  19. wait a minute Jeff Passan @JeffPassan Right-hander Gerrit Cole is remaining with the New York Yankees on the four-year, $144 million deal that he had opted out of, sources told ESPN. Discussions on a potential contract extension will continue. Essentially, it’s the same as if Cole did not opt out.
  20. Idiots.
  21. Maybe the likeliest outcome is the Yankees and Cole just figure out a new term entirely He opted out of 4/$144 Yankees have the option of doing 5/$180 Maybe they go to him and say "hey we will give you the $180 but we want to do it over 7 years" Might not make much difference to Cole. Odds are he is cooked or just a problematic injury prone dude at 39 anyway.
  22. Gerrit Cole is stupid but the Yankees just might be stupider
  23. Yes probably And that is the most annoying thing of this new trend. Juan Soto is going to want a "$60M AAV" even if the present value is $40M. In 5 years it will be out of hand. Cavan Biggio will sign for the major league minimum but defer it for 20 years so that the MLBTR headline is "Rays sign Craig Biggio's son to one year, $1.08M deal"
  24. Already has enough money When you are a DEMONSTRATED financial moron already, it makes sense to just willingly lock up money on yourself even if the return is not ideal.
