  1. Such a wild stat that just absolutely ballooned. Everything else looked fine for him last year, just gave up almost 3x as many homers somehow in the same number of innings
  2. We need SS/2B depth the most
  3. Best piece for this team right now would be Marte, followed by Donovan.
  4. Yeah, the depth would be welcome. As of now, we are in danger if Clement or Gimenez go down for an extended period. Weak depth up the middle.
  5. Then wouldn’t he have said Bo wanted to go back and the front office didn’t want him? That would’ve stirred s*** more and made them look worse I believe what he says about a fracture between Bo and the FO. It seemed evident in Bo’s attitude these past couple seasons.
  6. Their pitching is still ass overall
  7. We can still nab a wildcard spot and dunk on the Yankees in the DS.
  8. Yes. And Now Whit Merrifield said on podcast that the relationship with Bo and the front office/coaching staff was strained going back a couple years… Could be one of these things: 1. Dante Bichette and his role with the team 2. Front office telling him he’s not a longterm shortstop 3. Hitting struggles in 2024 4. Don Mattingly’s “soft demotion” It sounds like Bo wasn’t coming back here unless we massively overpayed.
  9. Yeah i think its likely he opts-out next year and seeks the 250+ mil deal he wanted in a weaker FA class
  10. Interesting choice of words...
  11. Honestly, both the Mets and Dodger completely f***ed the market the last couple seasons. Ohtani for 700m, ok sure he's a unicorn i get it. But actually they're only paying him 450ish. Then the Mets go stoopid mode and sign Soto for 700m straight. And now these crazy high AAV short-term deals for Tucker and Bo.
  12. Damn. Oh well, probably better off steering clear from him anyways… Only other impact position player now would be someone like Marte. Long shot.
  13. Ooooo Spicy. Plz Atkins you have the chance to do the funniest thing ever with Bellinger
  14. Brother we just don’t know enough about Okamoto’s defense at this point. And he would’ve been playing 3B anyways, even with Bo in the fold. There’s no world in which Bo is an above-average defender at 2B. Clement/Bo vs Clement/Okamoto is probably a wash defensively. But anyways, the argument was strictly about Bo at 2B. Clement is a better defender at 2B, period. Keep bringing up more strawmen arguments lol
  15. Also sometimes player just want the 1/2 year opt-out. Bo probably still gets 200m next offseason in a weaker FA class, and he comes out of this ahead by 1yr/47m
  16. A step back offensively, but a step forward defensively. Clement at 2B is objectively better than Bo with the glove. I personally would’ve probably gone like 8/250 for Bo, but we really don’t know if he even wanted to come back here.
  17. Cheating Beltran - OK Cheating Bonds - Fk that PoS
  18. But I was told nobody cares about the Dodgers throwing piles of money around?? Surely there can’t be anyone on this message board that might be wrong?
  19. Give him a long-term deal with opt-outs and hope he opts after a great year. Everyone wins.
  20. We know for a fact they Jays were interested last time he was a free agent, before he signed w the Cubs. So i wouldn’t be surprised if they are actively trying to sign him. He’s really the only player available rn that could move the needle aside from Valdez.
  21. While true, you could say that about a lot of players on the roster. In the case of Bo, just replacing him with Gimenez at SS probably results in no more than a 2 WAR difference. We just need to make that 2 WAR up somewhere else
  22. I feel like the fit is only weird because of Springer’s resurgence. Springer looked like a potential bench piece going into 2025 and we didn’t know he’d be a worthy full-time DH
  23. Loll. To be fair you also took a shot at Santander saying he was a panic signing, hence the defense posts
  24. If he can’t play CF then you don’t sign him. That’s really the only key factor here IMO. Im not sure how his defense grades out at the moment
