  1. Yeah I agree with all this. You’re just so emotional about it day to day which is why people call you out. Hoffman isn’t someone who should be DFAd or released but he should be lower on the depth chart than guys like Varland and Rogers… which he currently is
  2. Doesn’t look so hot right now but its not over yet. Team has about 4-5 weeks to get their act together and pull above .500 before the trade deadline. Santander replaces Springer next year. Vlad needs to get his head out of his arse.
  3. Im not sure how you’re able to just ignore the discrepancy between expected stats vs real results with Hoffman? He SHOULDNT be this bad. Its a complete anomaly case here which is why he’s gotten so much rope. The front office didn’t take as long to punt a guy like Green because every metric said he was sht.
  4. Yeah the team just stopped hitting for any kind of power. Idgaf about the contact hitting narrative from last year, you win games by hitting homers. The Dodgers and Yankees aren’t winning games hitting 15 singles a night.
  5. Not really sure what happened with the defense from last year to this year but its embarrassing. Mental mistakes and sloppy play have cost us a handful of games already this year
  6. Consistent over management of the bullpen for the last several years
  7. Kirk definitely looked like his hand was bothering him there…
  8. At least the pen is pretty rested. I’m thinking Hoffman factors into the game
  9. Its baffling to me that a guy like Ernie Clement can’t lay down a bunt at will. Like thats exactly the type of skill you’d practice day in and day out as a speedy contact guy. Not excusing the stupid decision to call for a bunt but Ernie needs to be able to handle the bat there
  10. 1 IP and 2 ER from the closer isn’t good no matter how you slice it. But Jays should’ve scored more runs today.
  11. Still doesn’t change the fact that Varland blew it
  12. Definitely was influenced by the previous double plays, we’ve hit into a ton overall
  13. Dude barely throws strikes, just need to have semi-decent playe discipline
  14. That’s a classic BJs box score 6 hits - 1 run 5 hits - 3 runs
  15. If we go up and dont swing until 2 strikes Bednar will blow this game
  16. Missed the game but can someone explain how this loss is Schneider’s fault? What did i miss
  17. What a bum, cant believe he just gave up a homerun to a washed 38 year old
  18. Im actually shocked at the level of idiocy on this board not understanding that a catcher coming back from a thumb injury isn’t immediately playing 2 days in a row. Now you could argue about why Vlad isn’t in the lineup at DH, but that’s another case
  19. Most likely a scheduled offday after returning from injury. Chill bro
  20. He’s kinda like Aaron Sanchez with better stuff. If he can limit the walks he’s good
