  1. Springer isn’t playing OF anymore anyways. Tucker or Belly would be an everyday OF to set and forget. A full year of Santander will be a big boost to the lineup you’d think. And having Tucker/Vlad/Sant to anchor the lineup would great with all the supplemental pieces we already have.
  2. Forgot he existed lol
  3. If we don’t sign Bo, move Barger to 3B and go after Tucker/Bellinger is the obvious play. Or Kwan or someone via trade.
  4. They also lost in 2014 to a dominant starting pitcher in Madbum. Very similar to this 2025 series including leaving the tying run on 3rd in the final inning.
  5. You’re discounting the bad case line drive back to the pitcher. Unfortunately, Jays got scared of lining into a DP after the Barger gaffe and Gimenez’ liner to Muncy in the 8th
  6. 2 outs is better than 1 out what??? Are you restarted? After getting thrown out at home they still had another shot with the bases loaded.
  7. I hope not, or else IKF might be getting a QO lol
  8. Opens himself up to a DP on a liner back to the pitcher or to 2B though. I get what they were doing here.
  9. Here’s a better, less damning angle of the IKF leadoff. He’s actually the same distance as Muncy.
  10. Joe seems like such a great guy. Damn all we needed was 1 more good swing… Lets hope the boys can get back there soon and get it done this time.
  11. I think they just felt Ernie was more likely to hit it shallow than deep, and that’s probably a good call.
  12. Just a little bit suspicious
  13. Just would’ve been nice to be on the prevailing side of it. Cubs/Indians 2016 was a classic but im certain Cleveland fans don’t feel good about it.
  14. Yeah this is one of those games that happens in the season, and it sucks but you just go right back out the next day and get a bounceback win. To have 2 games back-to-back like that to lose the WS is devastating. Not to mention only needing 1 more win.
  15. Even Muncy’s and Vlad’s flyout to CF are almost identical in terms of launch angle, exit velo, and distance. If Vlad manages to swing the bat .01 seconds earlier we get a walkoff homerun.
  16. Yup. They were very good at executing those runner on 3rd situations all year long, and for games 6 and 7 they just didn't do it. I watched that Mariners/Tigers game 5 and saw all the stranded baserunners, and I thought to myself "the Jays would have won this game 5 innings ago" Jays ended up looking just as bad as both of those teams in that game.
  17. Vladdy hitting it 377 to dead center in the bottom of the 9th is fkn brutal too. He pulls that ball just a bit its a walk-off homerun, Joe Carter v2 FUUUUUUCK man
  18. Yep. The reason this feels so bad for us is that we know that game was easily winnable. We had the winning run 90 feet away multiple times, with less than 2 outs. And we were winning in the 9th. Such a gut punch.
  19. Need Vladdy to hit more homers next year too. He had 23 in 156 games, then 8 in 18 postseason games. The ability is there. Santander should be good for 30+ homers. I would expect Springer to regress majorly, probably wont see another good offensive season from him again.
  20. Yeah signing Scherzer again is crazy talk. We need more reliability, our rotation was shambles going into September and we got lucky Yesavage stepped in a played a huge role. Need 1 topline SP type like Cease and probably 1 innings eater/mid-guy like Bassitt. For the pen, 1-2 reliable arms at the backend. For the lineup, either bring back Bo or sign Bellinger/Tucker Thats pretty much it?
  21. You’d have to think that this played a part mentally. IKF also got doubled up on s line drive recently in the playoffs, maybe against Seattle can’t remember. They got too scared on the bases unfortunately.
  22. Difference is that Whit is way faster. Also dont agree that IKF was far enough off the bag when you compare his position to Muncy’s. Literally 1 foot would have made the difference.
  23. Funny how different players view this differently. A double play liner to 3rd?? When does Varsho ever hit oppo line drives? That shouldn’t have been a worry at all, but maybe it was in their minds due to the Gimenez liner to Muncy earlier. Small situations that cause ripple effects throughout the game… However, Varsho needed to do better to hit something in the air there. Just so goddamn frustrating to lose like this. Im not even sad, im just annoyed.
