Im almost wondering if the reports are mixed up. Like yes they added a 4th year, but its 4/150 not 4/200. Which makes more sense because 4/200 with opt outs seems like a no-brainer. I think opt-outs are the key here, obviously Jays don’t wanna give him opt outs in the first 4 years or so. Maybe they end up with a structure similar to Santander, something like 8-10 years but an opt-out halfway through the deal

I strongly believe Jays have had the highest offer on the table for both Bo and Tucker, for the last 2 months. Question is, do they want to play here. And HOW MUCH higher do we have to outbid the Dodgers/Phills/Mets?

We also can’t say for certain that half the guys in the hall weren’t taking some form of banned PED when they were playing. Bonds also never failed an MLB drug test and was never suspended for PED use. Moving the goalposts after he retired is BS

Yeah, its a miracle we made it to the WS at all, let alone coming that close. Team was running on fumes, with Bo and Santander both injured, Springer banged up, starting rotation of Gausman+rookie+old man+injured Bieber, and IKF/Straw getting a bit too much play time. Without beastmode Vlad and Mr.Clutch, we probably don’t get there

Yeah obviously don’t want a black hole, but I think you’d be ok with any of those guys as a stopgap for a year or 2 until someone is developed/becomes available.

I feel like its not too difficult to find an above-average/elite CF to just stick in the bottom of the lineup. Someone like Straw for example, just younger and on league min. Varsho provides power but lacks the stolen base threat you can normally get in a CF. Find a speedy guy and stick him in CF
