From what I remember, thats all they get. Nice chunk of change for the rookies but means nothing for the vets. Its part of the reason MLBpa uses the expanded playoffs as a bargaining chip, since they basically get nothing out of it. -
I don’t necessarily agree with that, goddamn. Just proves how much our society is fixated on money as the be all end all. Does this also apply to random joe blow who decides to work at a non-profit for 60k vs work for some big corporation (that contributes a net negative to society) for 100k+?? Is he doing a “disservice” to his family?? Man sometimes I feel our society has their values completely f***ed up and backwards

Im honestly so glad Cohen and his arrogant ass couldn’t just come in a build a good team through free agency/throwing money around. Dude does not understand baseball, a team is built from the minor leagues first and foremost.

The Blue Jays are in agreement with free agent reliever Tyler Rogers on a three-year, $37MM contract, reports Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. The deal includes an $11MM vesting option for the 2029 season.

Tucker/Bo move the needle far more than any RP signing would. The bullpen is fine. As of now, we have a Bo-sized hole in the lineup, and room either at 2B/3B/OF to add someone. Bo or Tucker is a must IMO, or at the very least Bellinger

I agree with the idea of not spending big money on RP. But what exactly are you considering “truly elite”, because Suarez is definitely up there and has more saves than anyone over the last 2 seasons. This is RP stats for 2024+2025
