  1. 10mil for a 6th starter is crazy IMO gotta be 5mil or under for just a depth starter i’d think. I dont think Scherzer fits. Would rather have Lauer as the 6th man and use the money elsewhere
  2. Yea, kinda surprising because i feel like he really doesn’t fit the roster at this point. Maybe more wishful thinking on his part.
  3. Holy s*** i picked a bad night to check out
  4. Pipe dream but I like it. Also surprised you think Santander can manage CF
  5. Marte is a better fit for the lineup ayways, for what its worth. Although i think it would be nice to keep Bo/Vlad as the core of the franchise. I dont think i’d go much over 200m for Bo. If some team wants to give him 250+ i’d be totally fine with a pivot to Marte + a topline starter or something along those lines.
  6. No i absolutely do not
  7. Maybe because you’re a flippant whiner
  8. Sign Imai, trade for Kikuchi. Be the anti-Dodgers
  9. No, the Scherzer experience was enough for me lol. I don’t like the idea of “owing it to the vet” to let him play if he sucks.
  10. I don’t see it.
  11. That’s kinda exactly what he was signed for though? I’ll admit he looked toast after that Royals start, but he pulled it together and had a couple key starts for us in the playoffs… including holding the Dodgers to 2 runs in game 7 of the WS which is crazy when looking back. I think most of us expected somewhere in the 100 innings range plus a few playoff starts. We got slightly less than what we wanted from him but it was enough.
  12. Semien played most of his career in Oakland up to that point. Not really the same scenario
  13. God I hope not. Although hard to see Bo signing there IMO. He either comes back to the Jays or goes to a clear competitor I think
  14. Maybe… but do we need a backup IF? If Bo is retained we have 3 guys that can play SS and 2B, and 2 guys that can handle 3B. And probably someone in the minors that could be a bench guy. I suppose he’s better than IKF
  15. I’d rather not sign any of those guys.
  16. Leiter is such a gascan, no thx
  17. Yeah im curious to see if the relationship with Berrios has been damaged like some reports say, and if they try to move him. Would think Zac Gallen on a multi-year deal would be a better bet than Berrios going forward
  18. I don’t think signing a high-leverage reliever is completely necessary, as that is something that can be addressed at the trade deadline. But I totally agree with your priorities there. 1. Bat (Bo/Belly/Tucker/Breg) 2. Starter (Suarez/Cease/Imai/King) 3. Reliever (Diaz/Suarez/Williams/Helsley) I would be happy with just the first 2 done
  19. He never wanted to be here anyways! Jays are a cheap team! Oh wait i forgot this wasn’t the facebook comment section my bad
  20. Man, you’d think with how much you glaze this dude you’d at least spell the name right
  21. Grisham on 22 million is gross lol. Although maybe the numbers are legit if he keeps playing at Yankee stadium
  22. I think they’ll just outbid whoever to keep him here. Optics. Same situation as Vlad but this time they aren’t bidding against themselves.
  23. That’s hilarious, what a twat lol
  24. I feel like we’ve heard this like 4 years in a row now regarding “injury luck” with the rotation. Maybe the front office just understands you can’t have a rotation full of 100mph gas throwers because that’s asking for trouble?
