  1. Jays owners are CHEEEEEP Pay the man!!! *jk this aint facebook
  2. Teams remembered they don’t need to throw him any strikes and he’ll swing anyways
  3. Yes but this is a sport, and competitive balance is a thing.
  4. This is a good way to put it. But at the end of the day, Ohtani still gets his 700m hence the 700m contract. Its debatable whether you think the entire contract should be counted towards the luxury tax, as 99% of contracts in the sport are. I think it should be. We will see if it is a point of contention in the next CBA negotiations.
  5. How many dollars does he receive in his bank account
  6. That's my number 4 starter with a big personality 😍
  7. Answer me one thing, how much money is Ohtani actually receiving from the Dodgers by the time his contract is over and paid?
  8. I do think its partly mental with him. He got hit pretty hard in his very first playoff start, and was just never the same. Basically destroyed his confidence and never built it back up.
  9. Yup. Im just preparing myself for the Paul Skenes for Spencer Jones + scraps trade that we know is coming in the next year or so.
  10. Yes, feels like we are being used as a bargaining chip again. If any of these guys (Bo, Bregman, Tucker, Bellinger) wanted to play here, they would have signed by now. I wouldn’t be shocked if the Jays currently have the highest offer tabled for all of those guys. Maybe they are waiting for the WBC and hoping someone important on a competitor gets injured?
  11. Either way, i think both guys are a longshot now with Okamoto in the fold. Would expect the front office to go harder after Bellinger/Tucker
  12. Best bench in franchise history??
  13. Obviously if anyone else is brought in at this point (Bo or Tucker) there would have to be a trade made. Just too many guys ATM. Don’t be surprised to see 1 of Barger/Lukes/Schneider/Loperfido moved
  14. I just can’t see it 1 year removed from signing him to a 5 year deal. Unless they’ve changed their mind about keeping Springer around. But in my eyes, the fit for 2026 is a bit iffy but 2027 and beyond Santander is primary DH. Springer is also a year older and has a history of injuries, he might be a non-factor next year
  15. I think this makes it more likely they add an OF instead of Bo though. Or maybe not, who tf knows lol. I think the front office was just tired of waiting and didn’t want to be left empty-handed. If Bo ends up falling into our lap on a cheapish deal, this just gives us more trade chips
  16. Idk why these losers even post these types of articles. Embarrassing
  17. Its such a nothing quote. Obviously its not 100% that the Jays sign Bo or Tucker, because its a contract and it takes 2 to tango. Many variables. But you have to think its like 95% they sign one. This is like me saying its not 100% guaranteed I will die before age 100
  18. Get ready to wait 6 more weeks
  19. That’s pretty much what we signed him for. 30 HR switch hitters don’t exactly grow on trees. Sure he’s a corner OF with meh defense, but he’s basically Teoscar Hernandez. And Teo is an everyday player for the back to back champs.
  20. And what’s your boy Imai projected for huh? Projections are notoriously unreliable when accounting for injuries.
