  1. So Stilson appeared in 2-3 games and goes to AAA, but Pillar has been hitting well and stays? Anyway, who cares.
  2. LOL, if he at least realized he is slow maybe he wouldn't have been picked off 2nd in the 1st.
  3. Hey, this just means Blue Jays will get Mo'ed down in the 9th.
  4. I went overboard, shouldn't say he's a wimp. It's a lack of command whether he walks a guy or whether he hangs a pitch over the middle, but certainly pitch selection comes into play, it is what it is. He's got a lot of talent, but can't put it together for whatever reason. Certainly blame management for counting on guys like him. Anyway, this is a bad team period, the sooner they realize it the better. At the end of the day, they've scored 1 run against Phelps, way to go offense!
  5. Delabar pitching lights out with his team down by 4, if it was a close game, he'd be walking the entire Yankee lineup.
  6. I dislike JPA as much as the rest here, but Morrow is a bit of a wimp, he nibbles like Buehrle out there, except Buehrle throws at 86 mph tops. Anyway....
  7. Hopefully AA will realize he has McGowan and Stilson to call up if a middle reliever is needed and won't trade Sanchez to get another Esmil Rogers.
  8. Another Blue Jays starter that can't go more than 5 innings. I mean, this was the case even at the beginning of the year. There's something wrong with the way they baby their pitchers. I'll give Buehrle his due for being out there every 5th day, even if he's been bad. Same for Dickey who's been battling some injuries. I think Morrow threw 70 or so pitches? I mean, come on, this babying started with the quick hook on Dickey against KC when he was like WTF?
  9. I agree that JPA is bad at game calling, but I don't blame him. I blame the manager and coaches for allowing him to screw things up. Taking away pitch calling would be a good way to let him know they're not happy with his defensive game, especially when the one guy you shouldn't allow to beat you is at the plate.
  10. He's been a bit unlucky, but no doubt he's someone to worry about. If Murphy was the hitting coach, I'm sure many here would be blaming him. But all kidding aside, his struggles are another significant contributor to the team's struggles. As I said already, the core of this team has choked under the pressure.
  11. Gibbons has said he likes the homeruns, that that's how you win "in this game". So no surprise he loves JPA.
  12. Great news...AA keeping his word of putting together a winning team...in Buffalo.
  13. So the team wasn't ready to start the season. They have major approach flaws in both their hitting and pitching. JPA is hitting 4th. They rushed RR after 1 start in A ball and he has now regressed. Etc. Etc. Etc. The people running this franchise from top to bottom are incompetent.
  14. So basically, the "core" of this team has s*** the bed under the expectations.
  15. Since JPA can't hit a slider, he figures no one else can.
  16. Did anyone else notice Cano was late on Morrow's fastball? I blame Gibbons for this, You would think the one guy on the Yankees you wouldn't let beat you is Cano, but hey, Biggy is AA's buddy.
  17. What a joke! Kept throwing him sliders till they hung one.
  18. It's clear the supposed core of this team has let it down and when the supposed additions have been more like subtractions, you have a team going on 9 games under .500. It is what it is, too bad AA probably will stick with this team
  19. It may have more to do with need than anything else, but the guy played SS in college, I would think he could play a good 2B. I do wonder why they haven't tried him at 2B given the gaping hole at the ML level
  20. The thing is, no one is reprimanded for their fundamental mistakes, so why should the players put more focus on what they're doing. When your supposed best player makes dumb mistakes like Bautista has and gets away with it, I don't think it will works if Bonifacio or Davis get disciplined. I just watch now for the heck of it. I'm more focused on following the development of guys like Sanchez, Nolin, Stroman, Gose, Pillar, Burns, Jimenez, and the SS guys like Smoral, DeJong, Davis, Nay, etc.
  21. Remember, Blue Jays got the Giants' worst starters on those games and the Giants booted the ball all over the field. This team sees that Yankee uniform and they wimp out.
  22. Should Gibbons have benched Bautista after getting picked off to send a message to the team? Then again, Gibbons is batting JPA cleanup, so he may not have any credibility with the players.
  23. JPA batting 4th is the fault of Gibbons, I don't care what anyone says, there's no excuse for it.
