Someone should start an online petition to get Buck, Tabler, Wilner and anyone else like them fired by Rogers. I know this may be retarded, but what the heck, what else is there to look forward?
This is probably the wrong thread for this, but what the heck, McGowan tonight: 1/3 IP, 2H, 3ER, 2BB, 0K, who would be surprised if he blew his arm out again?
What a joke, we know hitting JPA 5th is moronic, but the inning should've been over already and only errors made by the Blue Jays come back to haunt them.
I didn't watch the AB, but if the pitches were outside, from what I saw of this umpire, Cabrera did the right thing by protecting the plate because I saw him call some pitches off the plate for both starting pitchers.
Anyway, he got his walk.
I meant this year after he missed most of ST and then went on a rehab assignment to Dunedin, but was recalled after playing in 2 games for Dunedin because the team was stinking it up both defensively and offensively.
Anyway, forget about it.
What I meant was that Lawrie needed more at-bats as he only played 2 games in Dunedin. I know it's not the same situation as Romero, but it was a desperate move.
Did the same thing with Lawrie and he's never gotten going. I really hope they don't call up Nolin, let him have a few more starts and then promote him to Buffalo, develop him.
I agree, but I read where Burns had to sit out the 2011 college season due to switching schools and that might've been why he dropped to the 11th round. Anyway, at least a few guys are hitting, long ways to go of course.
LOL, I've been hoping Burns gets moved to 2B and promoted to AA...he's the guy with the hit tool who's also got some SB and more BB's than K's so even better.
I posted his removal from the game as soon as I saw it, was suspicious from the get go, I hope I don't anywhere that AA said it's "minor" or anything like that, he needs to stfu.
I've only seen him once, against the Red Sox, and he looked terrific, good stuff with good command of his pitches. I'd like to see the Jays let Nolin and Hutchison, once he's healthy, finish the year in AAA and not call them up till September if at all.
Had to win this one to have a chance on Wednesday of winning this series as I don't see the Blue Jays' offense getting to Cobb.
Escobar looks to be in better shape than last year.
The issue for me is the overpayment in terms of players. I'm sure Gomes will end up back at AAA, but along with Aviles, it's just too much to give up for Rogers. Same with the Happ trade. Same with the Marlins trade and same with the Mets trade. AA decides he'll get a particular player and he does it regardless of what he gives up, it's an awful way to run a team.
