  1. To me the move was to DL Cabrera, but I read where Gibbons said he's healthy, but hung him out to dry by saying there are balls hit to LF that have to be caught, so I'm confused, if he's fine, then will he DH from now on or be benched in favor of Davis?
  2. He wasn't thinking about the situation, that's all. I see it no differently than attempting to steal 3rd with Bautista at the plate which I think he's done. Not gonna lose my respect for him over 1 incident albeit a worrisome one.
  3. If he can play a decent CF, there could be plenty of playing time with Gose or Rasmus in CF next year. Good to see Pillar, Jimenez and Burns doing well, even if they're not projected as cornerstone players. Super Scout Reyes said the Dunedin 3B will play in the Majors, he probably told the farm director this and that's why he's in AA now.
  4. Does the F/O get ANY credit for picking up Kawasaki? Just asking. I would've gone with Kawasaki at 2B just for the record. I think his D would play well there and I like his OBP and long AB's, long season and trading season is coming up so I think he could be back.
  5. This Davidi is a tool for saying this and I'm not one of those losing it over the demotion, I expect a trade in the next 2-3 weeks. Why can't these guys scrutinize Bonifacio's performance the same way the sh** all over Kawasaki and ignore his OBP? I mean, don't they see that he can't hit a 90mph fastball or take a walk to use his only above-average tool? Obviously not.
  6. Yeah, but he's never been the key to a bluckbuster trade.
  7. Gibbons said he likes the 4 lefties in the pen and I don't think you can send down any of the righties. I think it was a matter of options. I would've optioned Loup. They'll have to make another move in a couple of weeks when Lawrie comes back.
  8. When all you've got is a hammer.....lol
  9. It's been too quiet and happy over here for the last while, it was bound to regress
  10. Tell me who you'd rather ph in a game down by 1 in the 9th inning and you need a baserunner with Reyes and Bautista coming up, Bonifacio or Kawa?
  11. Hey bro, have you seen High85 around? Kind of miss him.
  12. I think they'd take the bat instead of the ball as I'm sure EE and Joey need some new bats after all the ones they throw into the crowd.
  13. DeRosa's actually been good, gotta give him credit. There aren't many guys who put up better AB's than DeRosa, especially against lhp's...funny thing is, Kawasaki arguably had the best AB's against rhp's...lol. I used to think it was good to have options...not anymore.
  14. Exactly my thoughts....hahaha!
  15. A bit surprised because the way Gibbons was talking, it made me think he would do the right thing and play him at 2B, but I guess he was just messing with the media. On the other hand, I'm glad they didn't take the risk of losing Perez for nothing. You could even say the same for Bonifacio. My hope is that they're able to trade Oliver or Perez in the next 2/3 weeks to make room for Lawrie.
  16. I blame the 2 losses on all the freaks who said anything less than a 7-0, 6-1 or 5-2 roadtrip would be a failure...LOL!
  17. Melky to DL or trade are the best options. Oliver for Profar, come on AA, do it, you won't regret it!
  18. Was Mitch Nay the draftee that had a broken foot or something last year? How high should we be on him?
  19. I think it'll be at least 2 weeks because Lawrie was struggling before getting injured and he probably needs a lot more AB's.
  20. I'd guess 2 weeks if not more. Reyes' rehab started last Monday in Dunedin so by Wednesday it'll have been 10 days or so. I think they'll take their time with Lawrie since they rushed him the first time.
  21. I guess people project Sanchez's stuff to give him a higher ceiling. I wouldn't have traded either. I do think Sanchez could also have been promoted without missing a month. Anyway....
  22. You must be kidding, he's from East L.A., didn't you know?
  23. I think we might've been saying the same thing about Sanchez were it not for the month he missed. I hope he's freakin' healthy and gets to AA to make a few starts this yea...not that it would make anyone less sad!
  24. Me too and D'Arnaud will be better than JPA starting around mid-late July THIS YEAR...lol. At least Jimenez is doing well, damn TJS delayed him by a year.
  25. I'm glad it's over with, I guess AA had to watch Reyes play in person to make sure #superscoutNinjAA...lol. It'll be interesting to see what the roster move will be. I really hope they freaking win tomorrow!
