  1. I would feel more confident if Cecil hadn't pitched last night. I thought Oliver and McGowan should've pitched last night, but maybe Gibbons wanted to give Cecil and Delabar some work
  2. I give quite a bit of credit to Izturis for his previous AB where the ump called a ridiculous 2-0 strike on him and he still got a hit to start the 3-run inning. It also happened to Reyes in his 2nd AB and he got a single, good thing the ump made the right call on Ortiz!
  3. A forum becomes too big when ANYone can post ANYthing.
  4. Great, now Jays will get dominated by this guy and both the Yanks and O's will win.
  5. I think it'll help. Players not wanting to sign with the Blue Jays is a real thing, I know many don't agree or don't want to see it, but it is what it is. Now, I'm not saying I agree with the course of action they took, it's just the way I read the situation, I just don't wee how a guy like AA who seemed so attached to his prospects would all of a sudden do a u turn...I've been wrong before though, lol.
  6. In my mind (and a lot goes on in there), AA was told to stop striking out on free agency and this would no longer be an excuse to not get players to improve the team so they went out and made sure they didn't strike out.
  7. I also expect Kawasaki to be playing 2B some time in July. At least freaking Izturis is playing better and hopefully carries it to 2B if they don't call up Kawasaki, you know the guy from Japan?
  8. If you looked at the starting rotation at the end of last season, you'd know that it looked far, far worse than what you listed here. We'll see what happens.
  9. I agree, but then I heard Gibbons say that Melky is fine, but they need certain flyballs being caught in LF and that's why he DH'ed Melky in TB so why the heck is he in LF tonight? Who knows, I guess they've gotta make room for Bonifacio at 2B....
  10. So now he's thrown 20 pitches and will probably be unavailable for tomorrow, why not McGowan then Oliver or something like that? I also thought Gibbons said he wanted to see flayballs being caught in LF and that's why he DH'ed Melky in TB? Just a frustrating night....
  11. Not crazy about the way Cecil has been used the last 2 times out. I thought this would be a good spot for McGowan. He pitched on Sunday and Thursday, probably in the 8th.
  12. I'd be thrilled with a split, I certainly hope they don't get swept! Coming back home 1 game over .500 would be fine.
  13. Yeah, I know that's the right thing to do, but was trying to fit in with all the hyperbole going on here.
  14. Just call up Lawrie for Monday, enough rehabbing, Izturis to 2B and Bonifacio to the DSL
  15. Lawrie 2-3 tonight with a 2B and 10 RB's. Kawasaki is 2-3 playing 2B. Drabek pitched 2 innings.
  16. One thing at a time kids, 1st hit, then frist 10 runs.
  17. Just to join the fun here, I don't know why Gibbons gave Wang so much rope in that inning, but hey, it was gonna happen eventually. One more thing, man this forum has gone down the drains.
  18. Haha, thanks, trying to sleep early over here.
