  1. Haha, that's not happening bro, calm down.... It'll be for Jason Marquis!
  2. I thought the exact same thing at the time, but I guess you could argue that it's better to have the player for the whole year and you don't know if Cliff Lee will waive his NO TRADE clause to play for the Blue Jays which is a big if. If it was me, I wouldn't have made the deals in the offseason, nor would I trade Syndergaard for Lee, but then again, I'm not the GM and I have no pressure to improve the team ASAP which in my mind is what ownership decided they wanted from baseball operations.
  3. It's true that NY and Boston were better then, but the flip side is that TB and Baltimore were pretty bad and as I said above, almost every GM, including AA, inherits players acquired by previous management/s. Anyway....
  4. No, it's called reverse jinx.
  5. Bautista responded the right way, do the bat do the talking.
  6. Freakin' Red Sox are beating Verlander and the Tigers 4-3
  7. Man, people go nuts on this board for a pitcher giving up 2 runs with a 9-run lead...lol
  8. O's fans seem pretty stupid right now, but the MLB Blue Jays board, and this one to a lesser extent, was pretty crazy when the Blue Jays were stinkin' it up.
  9. Man, remember April when Blue Jays were on the wrong side of these blowouts? Seems so far away.
  10. Rooting for the Rays and Tigers to win today as well as the Blue Jays!
  11. Boni diving catch...now we know this is unsustainable.
  12. It's been awhile, they're just falling in for him. It seemed everything he hit hard was right at fielders for a while.
  13. JJ better have learned from his start 2 weeks ago against Texas, 4-0 lead with a chance to sweep and he went only 5 and the Blue Jays lost.
  14. Who's pitching for the O's? It still shows 'TBD' on MLB.com
  15. You're right, I stand corrected. It was the move dictated by his track record, unlike the previous 2 years were this was ignored.
  16. You're probably right, but as I said above 'I hope' not.
  17. For sure, but you could say the same for the Blue Jays vs the Ranters. Blue Jays are where they should be given all that has gone on. They'll have a chance to straighten out their record vs the Yanks, but right now it's the Orioles, Rays and Red Sox.
  18. It had better be for Drabek, RR and Happ 'cause I don't want them giving up anymore of their farm which is looking a bit better of late with the emergence of Jimenez and Burns.
  19. Have to agree, but would add that AA had some input in this. I like the fact that he mentioned yesterday that Kawasaki could play 2B and send a reliever down. We'll see if they do, but I think Kawasaki could play solid defense there and I'd take that with his OBP and long at-bats.
