  1. He's struggling big time, at least Pompey is emerging as a prospect.
  2. Here's another interview with Pompey and his family: http://www.bluejaysfromaway.com/podcast-episode-21-the-pompey-family/
  3. This is probably their way of trying to limit Hutchison and Morrow's innings so that they don't have to shut them down in the middle of a pennant race later on in the season.
  4. I don't think I agree with Loup pitching 2.1 even if he didn't throw that many pitches. 8-man bullpen and 1 guy was used for 2.1 innings with a 4-run lead.
  5. So they finally make the right decision on Sierra and then turn around and confirm this stupidity.
  6. So where was Loup on Tuesday Gibby? I still don't get why Loup didn't start the 7th against Gordon....anyway.
  7. Yeah, thing is, it's gotten worse around that. If it was just the 2B, it would be one thing, but the rest of the roster has been allowed to deteriorate. On the other hand, Gibbons has f***ed up with the bullpen management as well. It's just all screwed up.
  8. So an IF playing OF, a DH playing 3B, an idiot playing DH and 8 relief pitchers including 8 long relievers and the media doesn't call the FO out for this? What a joke.
  9. Hate to jump into this, but I don't think you know what a Libertarian is and the other guy you're arguing with doesn't know what a Socialist is. Legit Libertarians were predicting the Housing Crisis for years and were ignored by those in power, including Barney Franks who's a Democrat. Anyway....this should be in the off-topic forum.
  10. So when's the media gonna start asking real questions about AA and Beeston? Never? Ok, got my answer.
  11. I agree wholeheartedly with AA proving to being an idiot for not addressing the bench, but the bullpen has blown a few games and Gibbons has been pretty bad in bullpen management. At the end of the day, they're where they deserve to be.
  12. So what happened to the focus on defense, lol. Now they're looking for offense, it seems. Clear signs of not knowing what one is doing.
  13. So I guess they've given up on focusing on defense...lol. What an absolute joke.
  14. Bottom line for me: Gibbons should've started the 7th with Loup agatinst Gordon. I don't get why he sent McGowan out for the 7th when he had his mind made up to yank him if Gordon got on. Anyway, at least Stroman and Norris pitched well last night.
  15. Walker will be sacrificed any day now.
  16. AA strikes me as a guy who's realized how much he got f***ed last off season and is scared to death of making any moves for fear of getting f***ed again, has fallen into depression and is trying to eat his way out of it.
  17. Loup, Redmond/Rogers should be able to get through the 7th inning of a game like tonight with a 3-run lead.
  18. Happ hasn't pitched since April 23rd. Loup hasn't pitched since the 26th. Redmond hasn't pitched since the 25th. Meh, who cares.
  19. This game's on the bullpen bro. Delabar's velocity is down since last August and the pitch was supposed to be outside. His pitches are ending up running away from LHH and into RHH. Gibbons isn't helping his high-leverage relievers either by waiting for starters to get into trouble before yanking them. McGowan had gone 6, Gibbons should've been happy with that and started the inning with Loup to face Gordon and Perez with a 3-run lead. The same sort of thing happened on Sunday against the Red Sox, Cecil had to come in with guys on 2nd and 3rd and 1 out because Gibbons stuck with Dickey too long. Anyway....
  20. Apparently, Delabar's velocity is down since last August. Who thinks they'll make a bullpen move before tomorrow's game?
  21. It goes back to AA though. By having 3 long-relievers, they've weakened the short-relief corps and Gibbons hasn't helped matters with his quick hook. He ended up today with Santos having to get 5 outs to finish off the game and no other high-leverage rh reliever left.
  22. I've said this too. AA put his neck on the line with the Gibbons hiring...guillotine please.
  23. I agree about bringing in relievers to start innings. Gibbons should've taken the 6 innings from McGowan and been happy. I think Loup got up to warm up earlier in the game when McGowan had that iffy inning. Anyway....
  24. What gets me is that Gibbons thinks Santos is Mariano Rivera even after multiple meltdowns.
