  1. If Happ was Stroman's height, everyone would say he sucks because he's not tall enough...lol. Funny how this works, if a short pitcher struggles, it's because he's short, but if a tall pitcher stinks, he just flat out sucks. Anyway...
  2. Kawasaki is actually a guy that hits the way Seitzer preaches, although he has no power. However, Getz is here because Gibbons and Seitzer like him from their days in KC.
  3. Again, you could limit his innings at Buffalo without "destretching" (new term) him. Also, they've also started his MLB time and he wasn't even on the 40-man roster spot. If they needed a bullpen guy, why did they send down Wagner who's a short-reliever? At the end of the day, they're probably reluctant to admit defeat on Happ and they only place he could provide value is as a SP, so that's what they're doing even when they have a better option.
  4. Blue Jays seem to have near-combacks late in games on Junior Jays Saturdays. I think they came back against the Red Sox and lost 6-7. Same against the Yankees (I think). Anyway...
  5. I disagree. It's like waiting till the July 31st trading deadline to improve your club. In the meantime, you're decreasing the chances of even being in the race later on in the season. Even then, you could limit Stroman's workload at AAA by taking him out early in games and giving him an extra day or 2 between starts while allowing him to continue to hone his craft and develop. Plus, they've started his service time. He wasn't even on the 40-man roster.
  6. If Janssen is indeed close to ready to come back, having Stroman in the BP makes even less sense now.
  7. Hopefully, the dumb media will call out AA for wasting Stroman in the bullpen infavour of this scrub.
  8. Don't forget that JohnnyMAC diving stop, that was huge.
  9. That's the thing, even if Stroman is on a IP limit, which is fine, you have to give yourself the best possible chance at actually being in the race and we know Happ is not the answer. Anyway...
  10. Who cares, Gibby wants him in there even against LHP.
  11. He's one of the long relievers and they may be stretching him out to replace Happ thus telling Stroman to f*** off and stay in the BP.
  12. That's fully on AA for thinking he Happ would flourish here and giving him the contract he did, not to mention the suspects he gave up in the trade. At this point, I would actually respect AA more if he did the right thing by admitting this was a mistake and inserting Stroman into the rotation. It really is a waste of Stroman's service time to have him in the bullpen when they have said they view him as a SP.
  13. Gotta give some credit to Skaggs, good young pitcher. However, it does help that the 1/3 of the line up is useless. Gotta get them tomorrow I guess.
  14. Yes, minus whatever another team agrees to pay him, which would be like $1.00
  15. Don't you know Reyes can't do anything right? He has to get to every ball up the middle even when he's positioned towards 3B to make up for Francisco being there. Anyway....#FreeStro, give us something to watch.
  16. He be in Charlotte N.C.
  17. I'm exaggerating a bit, but tell me you don't suspect the same? Maybe 2 more starts which would mean Stroman getting "destretched" even more in 10 more days.
  18. If Stroman wasn't going to be starting, he should'n't have been called up. He had made 5 or so starts at AAA, they should've left him there to continue to pitch every 5th day. Too late now of course, but even if they decided to give him a chance at starting, which I doubt is coming soon, they'd have to stretch him out again. Hey, Norris and Robson are pitching tonight.
  19. I'd be surprised if Happ didn't get at least another 3 starts.
  20. No doubt. I think we would all have a little more respect for AA if he would admit defeat by trading him for nothing but salary relief or just eating the $5M.
  21. Sounds like Pat Tabler.
  22. Of course he does. He's big and strong and a big part of what they're trying to do.
