  1. Apparently, Cecil's gonna come in to close this one out. I have no clue why Cecil pitched yesterday.
  2. Yup. A few of us brought it up as Wagner was being abused.
  3. I know Reyes gets some heat from the board for his defense, but that was a nice play. He's made some good plays, I've gotta give him credit. He's also been weak on some bloops that he could've gotten to, but I've been happy with his D.
  4. This one might be Gibbons' fault. He abused him in his last appearance making him throw 40+ pitches.
  5. Pillar: 3 for 3, now batting .295. Little power of course and BB% is low.
  6. Stilson had a good outing today: 3IP, 0H, 0ER, 0BB, 6K. He was struggling to start the season, but he's a guy who could help out the BP later on in the year. Pillar went 2-5.
  7. Somewhat related, Lind went 0-3 with a BB with Dunedin today.
  8. Am I an idiot for thinking that today seemed a good spot for Santos to get an inning to start working out his issues? I'm probably an idiot.
  9. Gibbons has done this all year. Last Tuesday in KC he let McGowan go out to start the 7th to face Gordon, once Gordon got on, Gibbons pulled McGowan. I mean, if 1 guy getting on is all it takes to pull McGowan, why even send him out to start the inning, especially since they had a day off on Monday. Same with Dickey last night, just brutal.
  10. It's hard not to remember the blow ups in part because they're not getting the losses back and in another part because they could've been at least at .500 if not for the last 2 meltdowns, not to mention the previous ones. They should be 4-1 on this road trip.
  11. For sure. Just a few moves this off season would've improved the team. Moves like addressing 2b, the bench and a guy like Capuano or similar SP would've improved the team without blowing the budget.
  12. I say yes. Even if they decide to blow it up in the off season, it's worth trying to trade him for a prospect mid-2015.
  13. Sounds good. That would give him the 2nd half to adjust to AA. Still possible that he starts next year at AAA with a good showing at AA. He's really showing improved command which is huge. Sanchez on the other hand, continues to struggle with command. He had 4BB and 2K last night.
  14. Not gonna get this type of return, especially for guys like buehrle, Reyes and the FA-to-be. Also, everyone would know what you're doing unless you find AA's cousin working for another team. It might be more helpful to trade the FA-to-be around mid-season and the others during the off season. Unless, of course, you get a great offer. I'm all for the rebuild, but I doubt they have the patience or vision to go through it. Also, I doubt they'd be willing to field the team outlined here in the 2nd half. AA shouldn't be allowed to rebuild anyway. He's had his shot and failed. It's only fair to bring in a new regime and let them make the trades.
  15. Another issue is that he has let him start the next inning only to pull him after the lead off hitter got on base, like last night. In this case, he shouldn't send his starter out and rather let the bullpen start the inning instead of constantly bringing them in with guys on base. Anyway...
  16. I do, which is why I said he was snake-bitten. We'll have to hope he fully recovers.
  17. Gibby's idiocy is being upstaged by a bigger idiot.
  18. Yeah, I read you. This freaking guy is just snake-bitten.
  19. I think even if you're tearing it down, you pick it, hope he bounces back and trade him for something. I think even in a teardown, they should be able to risk $10M. On the other hand, if they're trying to retool, maybe they make a run at one of the elite FA SP and that $9M would come in handy. Anyway...
