Even Wil Myers is being wasted though - being miscast as a CF is eating a huge chunk of his value. They've gone the Mariners route, just more reckless.

That Dodgers are ridiculous. Even with Puig out their lineup is dangerous 1-9 and they have maybe the best bench in the league.

Stephen Vogt is a catcher with a 204 wRC+ into mid-May.

Lawrie is a nice example of how young players don't really improve linearly like fans expect them to. A guy who comes up and has 800 PA at 22-23 probably isn't going to get much better.

Thing is, they're at the point where they've usually stabilized. That's not to say they won't get better, because every situation is different, but for a 32-year old that concern will be there until they do.

No, I said there were reasons to be concerned and I stand by it. K and BB rate mean something at 100+ PA, and they're a big part of what make Edwin a 150 wRC+ monster and not just a good 120 wRC+ guy.

Still worried about EE. You have to be when you see a 2-4% drop in BB coincide with a 5+% increase in K-rate over 150 PA from a 32 year old.

Imagine my confusion when I get home and see that Mark Buehrle did Mark Buehrle things against a very good offense. I had it on good authority from this forum that he was finished.

wRC+ for the season up to 94 with a BABIP still 70 points less than projected. He looked so far away from average 2 weeks ago.

When you made the comment I expected to have a couple of guys come to mind as being on his level, but there aren't any except for a healthy Tanaka. Crazy. This division has always housed some of the best starters in the game.
