It's not even about stats. It's about common sense. On one hand you have a MLB-ready arm who tore through the minors, has the stuff to back up the results, and has nothing in the way of red flags. On the other you have a guy who, while very talented in his own right, is coming off a major injury and has never thrown a pro pitch. The only reason for picking Hoffman is that you like the Blue Jays and can't be objective.
