He was almost 30% better offensively in 2015 than in 2014. If he had repeated his 2014 performance he wouldn't have lasted the season and would be looking for a minor league deal somewhere. -

Meh. Morneau has a 104 wRC+ over 2200 PA in his last five seasons. Projected at 107, which is what Smoak did in 2015.

I wonder if he even gets a guaranteed contract? He was awful this year. Would love to take a flier on him for almost nothing.

Actually yeah, I missed that but he'd be good. Why was he non-tendered? The Sox don't even have a catcher. -

There isn't a single attractive name on the backup catcher market. Hopefully Rene Rivera gets non-tendered. -

The bench is kind of full now. LF - Revere 1B - Colabello 1B - Smoak inf - Goins OF - Saunders OF - Pompey Someone has to be shipped out to make room for a backup catcher.

Nah. Thole won't find a major league job and was projected to earn almost 2M via arb. They can bring him back for league min now if they want.
