  1. They have Gleyber who should be able to take one of those spots, but they also have nice pieces to dangle: Gardner, Frazier, and Betances all look like longshots to start 2018 with their org, and their only real needs are SP5, 2B, and 3B. Between Gleyber and and those trade chips, they should be able to fill those spots.
  2. Padres acquire Headley and Mitchell. This is big for NY if they're eating the entire 13M Headley is owed.
  3. Shithawks. Big dirty shithawks. They're comin' Bubbles. They're flying in low. Just swooping down s***ing on people and dragging 'em off to the big s***-nest.
  4. I could go either way, but Stro is healthy and in his last three arb years. Unless they try an extension, I think moving him over the next year if things go wrong in 2018 makes a lot of sense. I also dislike him on a personal level, so there’s that.
  5. Three years of Osuna would return a huge amount. Imagine the haul if they sold him, Stroman, and Donaldson this offseason?
  6. There's a decent chance the team has punted almost all of JD's trade value by the deadline. Teams haven't paid big for rental bats at the deadline in recent years.
  7. Dombrowski is going to flip JBJ for less than he's worth and sign JDM for like 7/150, and then watch as JBJ has the better season next year.
  8. At least you can dream on Miggy bouncing back given that he's only had the one bad year. Pujols is virtually guaranteed to be a $26-30M dollar anchor around LA's next for each of the next 5 years.
  9. I’m increasingly of the opinion that JD should either be traded or extended this offseason. This team isn’t in the same tier as Houston, Cleveland, New York, or probably Boston when the dust settles. Getting some pieces that align with Vlad and Bo’s arrival makes the most sense.
  10. #provethehaterzwrong #talentaboveheight #believeinyourself #neverafraid #YOLOSWAG
  11. Are other of those players even better than JBJ short term? I have my doubts.
  12. Ugh, BP's website is terrible. I'm on month to month billing because I don't use their content year round. I buy premium access in November, and then get auto-billed on December 6th - that's fine, most sites work that way, I'll just turn off auto-billing. It takes forever to find the area to change membership level, but eventually I find it and switch back to free. For every other site I've ever used, this change kicks in after the month you've already paid for. Not for BP - I'm down to a free access 5 days after buying a month of premium. When I try to change it back to premium, they try to bill me again. The idiots running this site get literally everything wrong. /rant
  13. It's 2017 and Boston has tunnel vision about adding 'power' instead of just adding talent wherever they can. This bodes very well for Toronto in the long term.
  14. Lmao @ Jack Morris getting in while Mike Mussina and Kevin Brown might not. These idiots have no f***ing idea what they’re doing.
  15. There are still a few guys who will likely sign 1-2 year deals and would be valuable given that the team doesn't currently have a 5th starter: Cahill, Garcia, Lackey, and Sabathia are all interesting to varying degrees. And the, as you say, guys like Hutch and Ross for AAA.
  16. I wouldn't give him four years. Something like the 3/36 Happ got would be about my max. I don't trust Cobb at all long term.
  17. Never heard of him
  18. Wow, the only return here is whatever they get for Castro
  19. What a f***ing blowhard
  20. And a bunch more at Fenway, RC, and Camden. If he stays healthy he’s going to have silly numbers.
  21. Apparently Stanton to NY is close to done
  22. They have a need too: just have to acknowledge that Gonzalez is done and move Bellinger to 1B. SS - Seager LF - Stanton 3B - Turner 1B - Bellinger RF - Puig 2B - Taylor C - Grandal/Barnes CF - Pederson/Toles That's not too bad
  23. Clint Frazier almost has to be going. I'm assuming he'd be the biggest piece.
