  1. This infuriates me because it's so f***ing stupid, and such an easy fix. They incorporated IR+ in their NHL leagues years ago. Giving MLB leagues the option to use the regular DL or the DL+ is a no-brainer. MLB teams don't use the IL in September, and it legit f***s with fantasy playoffs in a meaningful way if you can't DL players listed as DTD. Yahoo just does't give a f*** about making their service user-friendly for the dynasty crowd.
  2. Jerami Grant
  3. Just going to update the sheet, then I'll make my pick.
  4. On the other hand, Alonso is 24, Alvarez is 22, and Bichette is 21. Tatis is 20, but he's also showing some red flags offensively and is being boosted significantly by a very high BABIP. Being an above-average hitter in MLB at 20 is still extremely rare. It just seems less impressive now because we saw two HoF track players explode onto the scene at 20 last year, and then to a lesser extent Tatis this year. We all expected Vlad to produce like Soto with the bat, but that was probably a case of expectations that were a bit too high. His performance might seem disappointing, but it's actually indicative of a guy who's going to mash at the MLB level. Where I think he's actually been disappointing is everywhere else. People were wondering out loud if his defense could approach league average and if maybe he was pretty quick given his size. Well, the defense is terrible, and he runs the bases like Wilson Ramos and Jose Abreu. There's no benefit of the doubt now that we've seen 500 PA of Vlad at his current size. He's going to absolutely bleed value on the bases, and at 3B if he stays there. He's too fat, and it hurts his value. If he doesn't lose weight, the most probable outcome looks a lot like what David Ortiz did most years, or what Nelson Cruz has done recently. Outside chance that the bat gets to Miguel Cabrera levels and he contends for MVPs, but you can't really expect that kind of progression.
  5. lol, I was thinking the same thing. Definitely would have activated him with like 20 days left if the responsibility was mine.
  6. Orgfiller resigning from a league that he commishes because a change that he could have forced through unilaterally wasn’t forced through would be... unusual.
  7. Yeah, the response has been about 50/50. I think a significant majority would have to want to switch for us to disrupt the status quo. I’m considering the issue settled. That said, I think all you remain voters are very dumn and I hate each and every one of you.
  8. Looks like progress has to wait at least another year. My 2019 Yexit campaign (thanks Laika) is dead in the water.
  9. Took Lou Williams
  10. Can someone give me info on Mika Bridges? I’ve never heard of him and did minimal research before picking him.
  11. Took Mikal Bridges
  12. What an odd post. Fringe guys around the league were called up after their team’s minor league season ended and are now getting sparse playing time. I’m sure they’re happy with the MLB paycheck and service time.
  13. That's what I was thinking. Is basketball like hockey were there's a couple days a week where almost all teams are in action (Tue, Thu, Sat in hockey)?
  14. How do positional eligibility changes work in yahoo basketball? Are the current positions likely to remain static all year?
  15. Not having to track prospects/picks/offseason rosters on a spreadsheet is such a massive improvement to the league that I'm surprised people are weighing aesthetic preferences over it. I still prefer the look of Yahoo to the look of Fantrax, but Fantrax is objectively a better service that dramatically reduces administrative burden.
  16. It seems like all the young vibrant posters with endless potential are drawn to fantrax, while the old, past their prime geriatrics want to stay with Yahoo. Very interesting.
  17. Fantrax BTS King Orgfiller Abom Yahoo Dinger connorp
  18. I support progress and superior experiences so I vote to move.
  19. I took Covington
  20. Thank you, guy who has not touched a league spreadsheet in like 7 years.
  21. I am legit HEATED about what Yahoo has done to me.
  22. So I’m looking over Fantrax’s free league options, and it seems to fit all of our needs (up to 24 owners, draft picks, minor leagues). So we wouldn’t have to worry about league fees like we do in LoD. The way I see it there are two major benefits to switching: 1. Prospects and picks would be tracked and traded on Fantrax, eliminating the administrative burden of tracking everything on the google sheet. 2. Players who are injured in September but not DL’d by their MLB team (because most teams don’t use the DL in September) could be put on the DL in Fantrax, and their owners wouldn’t be stuck with wasted roster spots in the playoffs. I think these are very significant upgrades to the league that are worth moving for. Does anyone have any concerns about moving to Fantrax that don’t boil down to “we’ve always been on Yahoo”?
  23. Oh cool, looks like Will Smith will be out all week and not DL’d. Now I’m down to a 22-man roster.
  24. I took Horford
