There is no end to the shame with this team
  2. From what I can tell, blocks seem pretty sticky year to year, so he should be good for 2+ a game going forward.
  3. I'm going to be making this an offseason priority for BORED. I'm tired of working off the spreadsheet for picks and prospects, and the issue with MLB teams not using the DL infuriates me every September. It's f***ing stupid to stick with an inferior site because it looks a bit better aesthetically.
  4. I took Mitchell Robinson
  5. Sounds like if he's not back tomorrow he's BITCH MADE
  6. If you win two semi-finals matchups against teams with Mike Trout taking up a roster spot and not playing any games I'm probably going to rage-ban you, and it's probably going to be lengthy.
  7. Goddammit no Trout or Moose again today. The biggest kick in the nuts isn’t even losing key contributors for the playoffs, it’s not being able to replace them on your roster. We need to move this league to Fantrax.
  8. I do think it's been a bit worse than most people expected. IIRC most win predictions here were in the 75 range, but not much has gone right and the team is going to lose 100 games. The pitching staff has been a tire fire outside of Stro and Giles, and the only pleasant surprise has been Thornton showing as a possible 5th starter going forward. And the offense has been similar. Drury, McKinney, Tellez and Teoscar have been disasters. Jansen hasn't hit. Vlad has kinda sucked and we all thought he'd hit the ground running and win ROY. Grichuk got a long term extension then tanked the season. There have been more bright spots here than on the pitching staff (Gurriel, Biggio, Bichette), but it's been pretty rough overall. I think if you showed us the team's final 2019 stats back in March we'd all be pretty disappointed. Overall direction is good, but Atkins still has a lot to prove as a GM IMO.
  9. I took DeRozan
  10. I've never heard of any of the last 4 picks. If I make the playoffs you guys should all be embarrassed.
  11. Does Sheryl Ring still write for them? Feels like months since I noticed an article by her.
  12. It's been exactly one month since paid Fangraphs fantasy baseball writer Paul Sporer identified Ryan Goins as a hitter watch for fantasy players. https://fantasy.fangraphs.com/hitters-to-watch/ Since that article was posted he's slashing 209/274/224. Because he's Ryan Goins.
  13. Damn, The Drunks in round 2. I'm going to need actual contributions from Trout and Moustakas this week. Hopefully they both play.
  14. You had two picks in a row.
  15. Gerrit Cole is a bad, bad man. Good matchup Jim.
  16. Congrats on the W FeatherD. At least I was able to make you sweat after it looked like a blowout a couple days ago. I thought going into the week that I could count on my offense and my pitching staff would sink me if I lost, but my offense s*** the bed and yours raked all week.
  17. lol, this is amazing
  18. You can get a replacement level player with a terrible bat and good defense and baserunning whenever you want one. A guy like that with no options doesn't have any value.
  19. Two of those guys have been here one year. The other has been here a month.
  20. Alford is 25 and has been abysmal at AAA. I have zero issues whatsoever with the team giving more PAs to a guy 2 years older than him who has outperformed him at AAA the last two years. They're both non-prospects.
  21. I get why someone's FG% would decline as they lose athleticism. Just seems like FT% should remain static. Just looking at Tim Duncan's career now and he's all over the place year to year.
  22. It's probably because Davis is better than Alford.
  23. I don't really know anything about basketball, and one of the things that has surprised me the most over the last week is the variance in FT% year over year. What would cause someone like Westbrook to go from 85% to 74% 66% over a 3-year stretch? Is that likely to go back up? I noticed Gobert had a 57% season in between a bunch of years at 62% or higher. It's a skill that's completely isolated from the rest of the game, and I would have expected year over year results to be a lot stickier than they are.
  24. I took Russell Westbrook.
  25. I need Gerrit Cole to do his usual thing today. It would also help if Beeks or Maeda made extended relief appeances. Neither have pitched in 5+ days. There’s also a chance Yarbrough gets in for you. He’s slated to start Tuesday, but hasn’t started since Monday and seems like an ideal long guy after Glasnow goes a couple innings.
