  1. After the most recent update he’s now the league’s worst baserunner at -6.6 runs. Actually pretty impressive for a 20-year old.
  2. Yup. Still controllable for 5 more years, and is a clear rotation cog at this point, even if only an SP5 on a good team. Nice piece.
  3. Just push this through yourselves next week in fantrax
  4. $80 a year US per year. There are other features that come with it, but I’m not sure we need any of them.
  5. Regarding the Ohtanis, I’ve been unable to broker a deal for pick compensation for either of the Ohtanis, and it seems unlikely that Dinger and EZe come to an agreement. I’m going to buy the pro version and split the Ohtanis. All other two-way players will be one player in Fantrax. If anyone wants to throw me a few bucks I’ll accept it, but no pressure.
  6. It’s a bug. His UZR was at -10 or something and now there’s no value there in the defense table, so he got an additional win temporarily. Looks like 2019 UZR is gone for everyone.
  7. f***. We’d need either a paid league allowing us to use two Ohtanis, or the league to compensate the owner of hitter Ohtani for allowing him to go to pitcher Ohtani’s team.
  8. 2020 season drops October 1st and everyone will have to opt in again. I’m waiting until then to create the new BORED league so that the 2019 season isn’t in our league history.
  9. The Indians are going to miss the playoffs by 1-2 games. They've received over 1,000 sub-replacement level PA from Martin, Bauers, Allen, and CarGo. They didn't even qualify Michael Brantley and he's had a 4-win season. Just a terrible, terrible organization that doesn't deserve any fans.
  10. Did silvergun just ragequit the league and self-ban over a potential rule change that hasn't even been announced yet?
  11. I always thought Felix would age well if his arm held up because he could command 4 different pitches in his prime. It would be cool to see him reinvent himself and put up some late-career 2-win seasons, as he's only 34 in 2020. A bunch of milestones are still in play if he can figure out how to hang on as a back end guy: 200 wins, 3K innings, 3K strikeouts, and 60 fWAR. He probably needs to hit most of them to get into the HoF.
  12. Has Laika even announced anything for sure? Your departure might be a bit premature SG.
  13. Org has floated this idea for BORED. It has potential.

Do you often dry to intimate a woman by breaking into her car and then stripping in front of her? Also Dubas only found out about this on twitter a couple days ago lol.

And the leaves were going to name this lunatic captain.

Just hoping he misses payroll at some point this season. Bettman won't stand for that.
  18. That's generally always the case though. I'm guessing the Red Sox were the top bidders on Price/Eovaldi/JDM etc... The Astros for Brantley. The Yankees for Chapman. Top players tend to join top teams, but they're not generally leaving money on the table to do it. Maybe Cole wouldn't even entertain a 7/220 offer from Toronto, but I suspect they'd get his attention real quick if they started floating ideas like that around.

So Eugene Melnyk is currently being sued for 900k by a casino who says his bank didn't honour a cheque he cut them, and for 700k by whoever financed his jet because he allegedly hasn't paid his bill. I'm pretty sure he's also still being sued for $1B by John Ruddy and a fighting a 1.55M wrongful dismissal suit from the Sens' former CMO.

Maybe the leafs need a new core then if their group is too soft to step it up when the going gets tough? Or at least bring in some quality veterans to provide a tough presence and protect the soft stars.

Calculate the shots against adjustment for each goalie. The shots against adjustment is equal to (shots against per minute) / (league shots against per minute). For Hasek this is 0.5092 / 0.4494 = 1.133 Calculate marginal goals against for each goalie. Marginal goals against is equal to (1 + (7 / 12)) × (shots against adjustment) × (minutes played) × (league goals against per minute) - (goals against). For Hasek this is (1 + (7 / 12)) × 1.133 × 4220 × 0.0421 - 147 = 171.71 Calculate marginal goals per point. Marginal goals per point reduces to (league goals) / (league points). For the 1997-98 NHL this is 5624 / 2132 = 2.64. Credit Goalie Point Shares to the goalies. Goalie Point Shares are credited using the following formula: (2 / 7) × ((marginal goals against) / (marginal goals per point)). Hasek gets credit for (2 / 7) × (171.71 / 2.64) = 18.6 Goalie Point Shares. Seems like a lotta ******** to me.

If he’s so good why does he always lose in the playoffs?

Yeah, I was wrong. He's a mediocre NHL goalie.
