  1. I will now make my Champion's address: It has been my distinct pleasure to roll over the DDL field this year. From finishing first in the power rankings by almost 40 points to dispatching my playoff opponents with only 5 category losses, it is clear that The True Cardinals were indisputably the class of the 2020 DDL. All of you can lick my taint, kiss my ring, and try to improve your pitiful teams for 2021. Humbly, BTS
  2. One final item that I forgot yesterday: IL restrictions. Recall that we had a 5-man IL limit in Yahoo and moved to unlimited because of covid. I honestly thought the unlimited IL worked great. Rosters were locked if a IL player lost his red flag and wasn't activated, so hoarding wasn't an issue. I see no reason to go back to a limited IL, but if opinion seems split I'll open it up to a poll.
  3. It's $100 US for a season. Not a lot, but I just don't want the hassle of collecting fees from everyone when we're just using the one premium feature.
  4. I've also added the positional minimums that Jim suggested, so your current rosters look like they'll look for the 2021 season if there's not significant support for doing it differently over the next couple of days. And I've turned weekly add limits off, so you can make as many moves as you want over the offseason.
  5. I’ve renewed the league for 2021 (god bless Fantrax). Our premium free trial ran out, so we’re back to an unpaid league. The only premium feature we were using was the ability to trade 2022 picks. So that’s gone now, but the picks that were traded are still with the teams they were traded to.
  6. Yeah, we're going to do a poll on this. I'll get one up when the 2021 season opens. A few minor items to take care of in the coming weeks: 1. position eligibility thresholds (will Jim's recommendations stand) 2. will we be expanding to 26-man rosters I think that's it?
  7. I'm fine with this if there aren't serious grievances.
  8. So you're suggesting, say: 10 current and 5 previous hitting 5 current and 3 previous pitching for 2021?
  9. I meant devalue midrotation starters. Did people bother with them or just stack RPs?
  10. I'm open to something like this, but I'm concerned that it would completely devalue all but SP 1/2 types.
  11. We need to decide reasonably soon what we're doing for 2021 positional eligibility. Our setting have until now remained unchanged from Yahoo: 10 games previous or current to qualify at hitting position 5 games previous or current to qualify at pitching position Thoughts? My current feeling is that we didn't change the 'current season threshold this year, so I don't see a need to change the 'previous season' threshold for 2021.
  12. This league needs some kind of league history page.
  13. I think this is the first BORED title for The Drunks franchise?
  14. Congrats Spanky. Way to prove that TCA was just holding you back all these years.
  15. I love this man
  16. This thing going down to the wire. You gonna be OK Spanky?
  17. Does Fantrax open after the end of the MLB regular season or WS? I can’t remember.
  18. Probably somewhere between 45 and 50%
  19. It was an interesting career for sure. Came up as an elite bat first 3B prospect, and settled in as one of the best defensive OFs in the game. Really salvaged a solid career when it looked for awhile like he would bust.
  20. Alex Gordon officially retiring.
  21. It's crazy to me that Kerhshaw is only 3 months older than deGrom. I perceive Kershaw as a grizzled old man getting by on his vetrin wiles, which is pretty far from reality.
  22. I've been wondering about Bauer on Sunday. He started on 3 days rest for the first time this season yesterday, and was dominant. The Reds might want to keep him on that schedule for the playoffs. If he gets to 80 innings and everyone else is in the 60-70 range, that should matter.
  23. I think my ballot would look a lot like that in that I'd probably have those top 3 guys in the top 3 and Burnes and Lamet 4/5. The top 3 are so close for me that the narrative of deGrom getting his 3rd consecutive CY would probably influence me to vote him first. I don't think anyone could criticize a Bauer or Darvish pick though.
  24. Who's everyone got for the NL CY? The race looks like a crazy 6-horse dead heat between Darvish, deGrom, Bauer, Castillo, Lamet, and Burnes.
