Yankees pick up Britton's 14M option, and there wasn't even a buyout on it. I didn't see that happening after the Indians couldn't find a taker for Hand at 10M.
I feel like maybe different teams have vastly different expectations for how this offseason is going to go, maybe?
On one hand, it's insane to think he might go unclaimed. On the other, you'd think if any team was willing to pay Hand 10M, they would have also been willing to toss Clevlend a low-end prospect or two to pick up his option and trade him to them.
King managed to offer an opinion on one of the biggest stories (sadly) to come out of the world series without making it political or attacking another poster. It really shouldn't be that difficult.
BTW, the motion to expand MLB rosters to 26 passed. I'm thinking there will be ample warning via e-mail, then a waiver period prior to the expansion.
Does anyone have thoughts about when to make the change?

Luis Campusano arrested after being pulled over with 79 grams of weed.
They identify players with limited skills sets and then use them precisely to squeeze every last drop of value out of them. If you're a guy who's just been DFA'd, TB is probably at the top of the list of teams you'd want to be claimed by.
This. It's absurd that playoff baseball had become entirely different from regular season baseball, with teams shelving their 4/5 starters and relying on elite relievers for a much higher percentage of their innings. I hope this playoff schedule becomes the norm again.
If anyone's looking for a closer I'd move Melancon. Looking for one of 3 things:
- an upgrade on my 2020 5th
- a big upgrade in waiver priority
- an SP-eligible RP
Lots of skilled players signing cheap 1-year deals. Ottawa instead gives up picks for Gudbranson, Josh Brown, and Austin Watson, none of whom have skill or upside.
