I think the problem we're running into here, or one of the problems, is that a large number of the position players on the roster suck. Like half of them won't belong on a 2021 opening day MLB roster. -

So the leafs have 4.5M in cap space for next year with Mikheyev, Dermott, Gauthier, and Malgin needing RFA contracts. Going to be very hard to upgrade the team. Seems like Marner is getting traded for a D.

There's too much talent on the waiver wire to have unlimited adds. Owners would just win by making like 30 adds a week to make sure there's never off days in their lineup. It works in LoD because it's a 30-team league and there's generally just trash available.

I think 3. would be made 2022 picks available now and 2023 picks available after 2021 draft, right? Otherwise I see it the same way.
