I saw this as it happened, and its even more sad now knowing that he was released a couple days later (I'm not sure he played again after this play). I really wish he had retired 5 years ago. -

I'll eat some crow: the Youtube broadcast has done a better job of showing the game off to new viewers than any recent SNB: really good full inning interview with Scherzer, a profile on Albies, and Josh Harrison mic'd up (he's a great personality) in the 90 minutes or so I've watched. It should be available via MLB.tv though.

So The Nats/Braves game isn't on MLB.tv because it's being streamed on YouTube. Very annoying for people who flip between games, to have to leave the app for one game. This company doesn't understand their customers.

The DDL FA pool is at an all-time low. Usually when someone goes down I can find a few guys on the wire that I find at least a bit intriguing. When Votto went down yesterday I couldn't believe the dearth of talent. It was an absolute wasteland. It's a good thing we have unlimited ILs now, because a lot of teams would be rostering 3-4 red flags on their active rosters if we still had 5-man IL limits.
