  1. The Mets. Pretty easily.
  2. That doesn't even start the conversation for Price and Zobrist. You're talking Lawrie + Stroman.
  3. McCarthy has a high ERA through 100 innings on a 20% HR/FB and now he's a bad pitcher? What a forum.
  4. On my phone. Can someone post a link to the league board?
  5. I'm expecting the team to face payroll contraints entering next year though. They currently don't have a LF, CF, 2B, and will need an ace. If moving Buehrle or Dickey frees up some cash to address those issues, they should be moved. Buehrle probable makes more next year than the AAV of Shields' next contratc.
  6. Just assuming/hoping that at least one will be traded in the offseason. $32 million on a couple of inning-eating fourth starters probably isn't the best allocation of resources.
  7. I dunno, the only pieces that actually matter are Russell and Stroman. Russell is the more valuable prospect IMO, but I wouldn't say it isn't close. Stroman at 23 has carved up every level and now looks like an above-average MLB starter.
  8. Something along the lines of Stroman, Nay, and Nolin.
  9. Also, who started this thread? I'd like to temporarily remove them from ignore so it shows up in the discussion list.
  10. I still think you have to add someone in the offseason if you want to have an above-average group in 2015. Add a top-30 starter, and roll with: new guy Hutchison Stroman Dickey/Buehrle Norris/Nolin/random guys That's a potentially nice group. I just don't think you can rely on a future Norris/Stroman/Hutch/Sanchez/Nolin rotation panning out. At least not if you have playoff aspirations.
  11. If by some stroke of divine intervention the Rays steal the division by boner would never subside.
  12. You never go full retard.
  13. Things have a habit of not working out though. Most likely scenario is probably that Nolin and Sanchez never become regular starters, and among the other three one blows out an arm, one fails to take the next step, and one becomes a legit long-term guy. Just my experience that penciling in rotations two years down the road is kind of a fool's errand, especially when most/all of the guys are unproven.
  14. There's definitely a plausible series of events that could lead to us having a great rotation two years down the road, but Jays fans have been saying that since I started following the team in the 90s. I think most every team has enough arms in the system that their fans can say this.
  15. I have feeling too.

Bryan Murray just got David Legwand on a steal of a contract. I approve.
  17. In the sim league I'm in we just did our annual 28-team 8-round prospect draft in five days, lol.

Can you cripple that which has already been broken?
  19. I posted that he was available 2-3 weeks ago. One person inquired and wouldn't move a 2nd rounder. Everyone saying they wanted him can kindly f*** off.
  20. I'm a bit surprised I didn't get bites from rebuilding teams a few weeks ago when I announced that I'd like to move him. Great stash for teams with roster spots. 25-year old with a demonstrated ability to provide above-average offense at 2B is a much safer lotto ticket than a 2nd rounder IMO.
