I'm a bit surprised I didn't get bites from rebuilding teams a few weeks ago when I announced that I'd like to move him. Great stash for teams with roster spots. 25-year old with a demonstrated ability to provide above-average offense at 2B is a much safer lotto ticket than a 2nd rounder IMO.

Gyorko sold to FTD for his 2nd. Ugh, it wouldn't surprise me at all if he's a top-10 2B next year. He was just not going to survive roster cuts without a couple of strong months to finish the season, and it looks less and less like that's going to happen.

Neil Walker for picks 60 and 100 in 2013 I had no use for him because Jedd Gyorko would be manning 2B going forward. f***. Pick 39 for Wade Davis last year Thought Davis would be a quality SP4/5. Ended up dropping him. Picking Brett Lawrie in the 2nd round Not a trade, but easily the worst decision I've made in this league. Decent chance I end up regretting my Harvey/Braun trade too. For the most part I can look over my trade history without regret. I tend to avoid moves with potential to bite me in the ass down the road.

So Marcel Goc is a significantly better player than David Bolland at the same position. Goc gets a year year $1.2 million contract and Bolland gets 5/27.5. The NHL is pathetic and run bu idiots.

They might do it for Lawrie, Stroman, and Norris. But that would be pretty f***ing disastrous.

Because they're a bad team, and have just spent almost 10% of next year's cap on a 37-year old bottom-4 D and a bottom-6 pest. It's more wheel-spinning. If they had nabbed Vanek, or Moulson, or Stastny and actually improved the team I'd be unhappy, but they haven't actually improved at all.

On this day the Leafs have committed $6 million per year to Komarov and Robidas for the next three years. This pleases me immensely.
