  1. But ahead of Peralta in the 7th round you have: Swisher Parker Middlebrooks Anderson Weeks Cahill Crawford Howard Rutledge Peralta was like mid-tier for the round in terms of value contributed. That's crazy.
  2. Heyward, Simmons, Gattis, Upton, Freeman is a really nice core. Five studs aged 25-28. Add in Kimbrel Teheran, Wood, and Medlen and the foundation is there. Can we please hire Wren?
  3. It's gonna be so fun to roll over 2-goalie chumps.
  4. I bet Peralta has actually had more value than a lot of 8th/9th rounders since the draft.
  5. My body is ready.
  6. Sami Salo = Joel Peralta ?
  7. Why? The draft was yesterday and and I didn't draft any IR or NA guys. Anyone I wanted on the waiver wire I would have just taken...
  8. How many keepers do we have anyway?
  9. I don't. No roster spots.
  10. lol, Spanky has a claim in on Mrazek.
  11. I have no idea if this is true or not, but I feel like there might be less attrition in general for hockey players. I had no issues with picking Marleau, and would have absolutely taken guys like Datsuyk, Zetterberg, the Sedins, Hossa etc... and felt pretty comfortable that I was getting 3+ years of solid production even though they're in their mid-late 30s. I really shy away from baseball players in that same age range.
  12. There are 2-3 guys I'd happily pick up if I needed a tender. Peter Mrazek is going to be stud eventually.
  13. Or you could just pluck Svedberg off the waiver wire for free!
  14. I feel like our drafts were similar in that we left some established talent on the table to take a chance on young players with elite upside. I'll need a few of Nyquist, Galchenyuk, Schenn, Smith, Murray, and Lindholm to develop into impact players in order to be pleased with my draft.
  15. Grant is the worst.
  16. http://www.meboxmedia.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/why-cant-we-have-both.jpg
  17. Yeah maybe. He's really fallen off. In his prime he was a guy who would produce when healthy, but couldn't stay healthy. The last two years he hasn't even produced.
  18. Because f*** the Leafs.
  19. lmao @ that lineup. Reyes, Bautista, Edwin and 6 replacement-level guys.
  20. In that case, of course it should.
  21. Clear your PMs.
  22. Interesting. Nice deal.
  23. Can someone post the Anderson trade?
  24. I could move Howard or Luongo for a goal-scoring good forward. Teams in need of goaltending can PM me.
