Yeah, that's just it. I started listening to Rod Black when I was in mid mid-teens and I couldn't tell that he didn't have a whole lot of baseball knowledge. He sounded professional and was fun to listen to. Compared to guys like Faulds and Campbell he was just in another tier at the time. -

Did MArtin leave there on bad terms? Beckett, Hanley, and Billingsley are of the books, and I can see them targeting Martin, especially if Hanley walks.

Ugh, trading Dozier for Vargas is one of the worst decisions I've made in this league. I thought he'd contribute to my counting stats while riding that OF defense to a sub-4 ERA and putting up a ~2.5 K/BB, but he's been bombed pretty much every time out. Awful trade.

It's hard to see a situation in which moving him makes sense unless they're bringing in a Martin or something. Still, I can see them cutting has salary and then spending the money a lot less efficiently.

Guy is awesome. Everyone was worried that he'd be a 4+ ERA guy with the move to the AL East, but he comes in, throws up a 3.8 mark over two years, and just doesn't miss a beat at all. I honestly can't remember the last time they added a veteran that worked out this well. Scott Rolen maybe? I really hope he doesn't leave. Hell, I hope he stays a few more years.

It wouldn't be surprising if this is his last start in a Toronto uniform, and if so, his tenure here was a pleasure. ~3.80 ERA through 65 starts and ~408 IP in his two years here. Exactly 6 fWAR for $29 million. The Marlins trade was awful, but Buehrle has been f***ing nails, and exceeded expectations. Guy is a machine. One of my favourite players to come through town since I started watching the team.
