  1. I haven't been this heated since Spanky told me Cobb + Synder < Niese + Despaigne and junk.
  2. At least one of those things is untrue, but I think you know me well enough to know that I'd be making the same comments if someone else had just traded for someone who shouldn't survive the cut.
  3. I really hope I'm never in a position to stash guys like Beachy and Chatwood through the cut. That's the fantasy baseball equivalent of drinking liquor from a paper bag downtown on a Monday afternoon. Rock bottom.
  4. I was already getting despaired before used car salesman jayblue moved an inferior guy who won't even pitch in 2015 for a very early 3rd.
  5. Wow, good on jaysblue for moving Chatwood before the cut, and for a decent pick. Here I am still trying to move Hudson and Buchholz.
  6. Yeah. Big hype, big stuff that has never quite played as well as you'd expect, with a lot of the same problems and results.
  7. Who is the repulsive person?
  8. It's actually kind of amazing how similar Sanchez is to this guy: http://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=10304&position=P
  9. This year will be very interesting for him. There's just a lot of things going on. His stuff looks amazing, and it's causing people to attach a lot of narratives to a 30-inning performance that yielded good results, but also came with a lot of red flags, but not quite the same ones we expected to see given his stuff and minor league track record.
  10. The big concern for me is command. His stuff is so good that I buy him being able to stick as a starter inducing a ton of groundballs and striking out 6/9. It only works if he stops walking people though, and that's a big stretch given his minor league track record.

    lol!
  12. The lack of control issue. That doesn't play well with an inability to induce swinging strikes.
  13. Alvarez has demonstrated that he can provide 30 effective starts, and there's value in that. Right now it's a long shot that Sanchez can go 180 innings with a 3/1 K/BB. He can't even do it in the minors.

Just gave fanduel a spin with a $1 50/50 entry lol
  15. 2015 rotation: Stroman Alvarez Hutchison Syndergaard Desclafani
  16. Floor is Kyle Drabek.
  17. If you want boobs and blood, Banshee is the show for you.
  18. If you're in the mood for a comedy, give Hung a try. If not, Banshee and Ray Donovan are both underrated and very good.
  19. Everyone is wrong sometimes. The fact remains that Zobrist is probably a 4 win player next year, the Jays as they're currently assembled probably don't make it past the WC game, and Sanchez is probably replacement-level. Any one of those could not happen, but all three are likely to be true.
  20. This thread is going to be a goldmine when the Jays miss the playoffs by a couple of wins and Sanchez tanks his value with a replacement level season.
  21. Zobrist probably vaults the team from one of several teams with decent playoff hopes in the AL to clear WS contender.
