  1. Or Gray and Arenado!
  2. What? I originally had a lot more typed out, but I'm going to go with ... what?
  3. I think I'd be okay with something like 3/40. I don't think I'd want to go higher. 15, 15, 10 or something like that.
  4. Fangraphs already has Springer's new contract entered lol.
  5. Doubt it. It would almost certainly cost one of Vladdy or Bichette to even get them to the table.
  6. Gray for Teoscar maybe (if we're comfortable that his shoulder is 100%)? Could we even be in on Arenado? He can opt out after this season, and probably won't want to sit through a Rockies rebuild.
  7. This would be fantastic.
  8. Hopefully we've front loaded it a little.
  9. Springer's profile should age pretty gracefully. There's always risk in a FA contract, but I doubt it's one that we'll regret.
  10. He could have not said it at all until a signing is finalized lol.
  11. I don't think we'd be selling him for prospects.
  12. I feel very strongly that we should cash in on Teoscar.
  13. I can't believe he thinks claiming they aren't pictures of HIM makes it better as opposed to worse. The late night talk shows are going to have a field day with that one.
  14. No way he survives it.
  15. That might legitimately be the difference in signing him. Seriously, how hard is it for people to NOT send nude pictures to random people?
  16. We sure seem to have a lot of guys who can throw multiple innings. It'll be interesting to see how we decide to use them.
  17. Yeah, maybe. It sounds crazy until you look a little closer. I think I'd still prefer the everyday bat though. 2020 was screwy for a lot of players. I wouldn't put too much into Gleyber's weird numbers last year.
  18. Apparently the Reds asked the Yankees for Gleyber+ in exchange for Luis Castillo. People may as well forget about that idea. It would likely cost us Bo or Vladdy and then some.
  19. Yeah, there is a chance. I don't think it's even clear that Musgrove is a significant upgrade over Lucchesi though, and they're paying a lot of prospect capital on top of that. I guess it largely depends on whether the enhanced breaking balls hold effectiveness over a full season and what the reason is for the difference, which is information we don't have. SD clearly believes.
  20. These refs are terrible. I doubt Nurse makes it through the game without being tossed, and Carlisle already has been.
  21. No reason to give up a significant prospect if we can get an equivalent SP on the FA list. The only real benefit to Musgrove is the contract, and that's not an issue for us atm.
  22. Agreed. The prospects are more valuable to us right now than Musgrove's cheap contract is.
  23. Musgrove's curve and slider had a massive jump in movement last year with almost no change in velocity. Interesting.
  24. People need to temper the enthusiasm on Martin. Even Bregman played most of 2 minor league seasons before coming up. The minor league season this year is already delayed, and it might be for some time. Martin won't have played in a real game for over a year, and has never played in a professional game. Expecting him for anything other than a cup of coffee before 2023 is likely going to lead to a lot of disappointment.
  25. I want no part of Jeffress unless it's a minor league deal.
