    I wouldn't assume a deep pocketed owner will mean that the Mets will spend a lot. Most rich people didn't get there by losing money. The two exceptions are really an old owner who wants a championship before they die, or something where they're making the money back in another way (like owning the TV network or receiving a casino contract).

    We could also see teams willing to cough up a good prospect in exchange for eating the remainder of a bad contract. We're probably one of the few teams in a position to do so.

    Yeah. I saw no mention of a criminal case either. I mean, Puig IS complete scum, but it's entirely possible this never happened. Something seems a little off.

    Hm, maybe. It acted kinda weird, but he gets so much movement it could be. 94 would be really something for a curve. I remember Billy Koch hitting 89 or 90 on the curve a few times.

    It depends how they implement it. I think it's more likely that they say there has to be two infielders on each side of second base. Where teams position them can still be optimized, but it prevents any of the extreme shifts.
