  1. As long as they're smart enough to design the stadium in such a way that they CAN put in grass if they decide to in the future.
  2. I'm not even sure we need to. We need a replacement center (and a good one). We're getting killed there right now.
  3. Paying Bauer what he's going to get scares me, and I'm not convinced he's a true ace. Catchers get beat up over the season, so I'd rather not spend huge amounts on them. Turner is a bigger upgrade for us than anyone else on the list, and it's not a painful commitment. If 3rd is filled, we don't need DJLM. I like Springer, and would love to have him, but I think the money can be better utilized spread out. None are long-term commitments, so they don't affect our future flexibility.
  4. Turner, Joc, Hamels, Walker
  5. Steph is having some kind of night. 45 points through 3.
  6. Yeah, but it's usually stated as such (which is fine). Today's conjecture is presented as facts supported by "sources", which seem to be the voices in the journalist's head.
  7. The media has forgotten that they're supposed to report on the news, not invent it.
  8. And he'll probably get the MLB network to pay him for the rights to air it on TV too.
  9. Hurl probably doesn't even know it happened yet.
  10. He's being projected at 1.8 WAR, and put up 1.3 in 1/3 of a season last year. He shouldn't be plan A, but it's not like he can't help us either.
  11. You mean this is the wiser version of you?
  12. If Heyman is claiming he tried to contact Bauer's agent and he really didn't, then you have to wonder if the rest of the post is also made up. Bauer could definitely word things a little more professionally, but I don't blame him for being upset at media figures lying about him. It's about time someone was willing to call them out on it.
  13. I wasn't worried after the first two games. I'm a little more worried now. They just don't look right.
  14. Kepler's season last year was pretty much equivalent to his first three. If you look at the two of them at the same age, it's basically the same. I don't think either is in danger of not being a starter, and I wouldn't be shocked to see both perform the same this year from a fantasy perspective. I still think neither should be a valid option.
  15. I'd say they're both pretty much the same player from an offensive perspective. Is neither an option?
  16. And BTS would give you Danny Jansen, Randal Grichuk, and Sean Reid-Foley.
  17. Someone should tell the Clippers that they're supposed to be playing basketball. Wow! Dallas is doing unspeakable things to them.
  18. Murray's had a terrible start to the season, but he's pretty talented. As Org said, kind of inconsistent. I think he'll probably develop into a star. They definitely could use SOMETHING in addition to help Jokic out.
  19. Ibaka just KO'd Kawhi. Nasty elbow.
  20. s***! Well, the rest of the week is set now.
  21. It's almost certainly just the turf. I mean, that old stuff had regular ground balls skipping all the way to the wall with regularity. Olerud also played way off 1st if I remember right, so it's possible that affected his numbers too.
  22. Yes. We all remember Rajai.
  23. It likely has to do with the turf. That old stuff was basically carpet, and lightning quick. Alomar was magical at 2nd. If you remember Orlando Hudson (who was also excellent defensively), add a step of range to him and you probably get Robbie.
  24. Took Morris Sr. Back to TCA!
